I was so excited to move to the Villas. I was ready to leave my crack wack apartmetns and upgrade. However, this upgrade was more of hassel than my previous apartments.
My first week there, my mother car was hit by a resident. THe lady never looked to see who was behind her and then had the nerve to get an attitude with my mom. Once that was over I requested parking space. I was given the parking tag, but guess what' Someone was parking in that space. I kept telling them that they need to tell this person to move. Not once did they tag that persons car or anything. I aksed for my money back and got it. So, I had to suffer the mile walk to my apartments.
Well, three weeks later my air conditioning went out. I requested for someone to fix it and it took them 4 days to come to my rescue. I was mad as hell at this point. THen, the dishwasher kept clogging. THe maintenace man kept saying dishwashing soap was in the washer, but I never used the soap. He just did a wack as job of fixing the dishwasher. He blamed me for the problem. From his lack of, I had to suffer from a fruit fly infestation for a week. !!! So, things were looking bad but then it got better. Yes, for two months things got better, only two months. Around August-October, these months gave me the most hell. I came home to a massive flood from my neighbor's hot water heater. I paged the mainteance man, and he told me it would take him an hour to get there. Once he got there he cleaned up the water and then asked for a bucket to collect the water, and that by tomorrow it would all be fixed. Well, everything he said was a lie. The problem was not fixed, and I had major damage done to the wall. It took them 3 days to fix the leak, but two months to repair the damage they had caused. THey had scratched the wall and destroyed the shelf the water heater was on. I kept calling the agents to ask them to put in a work order to fix this. The agents kept saying we will fix it, and they kept saying it. By then I was done with the Villas. I knew my lease was up in October, and I was ready to go. Hurray it was October and I knew that this was the last time these no good money grubbers would receive any of my money. I remember distinctively putting the checks in the night slot becasue I had a class that morning. Well, I called them when they opened the same day and asked can you please check to see if my checks had made it. Well, they told me that the accounts person is the only one who could unlock the safe!!! I told them that I would call them on Monday to double check. My intuition was kicking in and I knew something was not right. I totally forgot to call that week due to my busy work schedule. I came home at 8:00 p.m. and discovered a letter from the manager saying that I did not pay my rent. I have never been late paying my rent. I called the office and left a message to speak with the manager and then I called my bank to notify them of this. They said that they never received my check at all. I told them that it was in a white envelope. The accounts lady said for me to notify the bank and etc... I did notify the bank and I put a stop payment on the check. Well once the stop payment was made, I only had to pay was a 16.00 late charge. TO me it seems kind of shady, why only sixteen dollars. Normally they charge you up to fifty dolllars a day but 16.00 total for 5 days. I was in disbelief. I knew that they had lost it and blamed me for their lack of... I suggest you really reconsider moving here, just remember the old saying, you can't judge a book by its cover!!!!! aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb
