I moved into these apartments in March 2009 since then there have been 62 counts of Burglary or criminal mischief or Auto theft in these apartments and it is only October 2009.(I looked this info up on dallaspolice.net)Someone has tried to pry my door open but they were unsucessful this happened back in July. on this incident I called the emergency maintenance line because the thieves jammed my lock so I or the police departmaent could not get in to my apartment and got no response from maintenance. I called it 3 times. Well it is now October and Just last week the theives broke in and stole my flat screen (mind you I live on the 3rd floor and nobody seen anything.(I think it was maintenance) My Son just turned 1 and he had a party where he recieved numerous gifts and the theives stole them and my digital camera which had his photos from his party on them. They also stole my laptop and a 32inch flatscreen tv from my room.They even stole my toilet tissue. It didn't take much for them to get in they just kicked in the door. I called the emergency maintenance line again on this incident and got no response. (which meant I had to stay in an unsafe apartment where I could not lock my door to protect the rest of my belongings with my one year old son.When they did Arrive that morning to fix my door I asked them why they did not answer The maintenance guy said to me " it is hard to get a babysitter @ 2am. Thank God I was not home like the lady and her two kids that live across from me. They tried to kick her door in while she was there. This all happened in Broad open Daylight When I expressed to the leasing office that i wanted to leave they offered to move me closer to the leasing office for much higher rent in which i can not afford Also, that want do any good since theives have broken into the leasing office and stole checks and Moneyorders and the leasing office did not even inform the Tenants. The Office manager Janie is Terrible. She could careless about the human race. When i told her I wanted to leave she told me i had to give a 60 day notice. I was like really you want me to replace all my stuff for the theives to go shopping in my apartment again. Or live like a savage with no tv and no toys for my son. She proceded to tell me how she stayed in an apartment for 17 years after she was robbed. So i guess she thinks that filing a police report every two months is a way of life. She then told me to leave her office. It is approaching christmas and i am afraid i am going to have to get a storage space to store any items of value or gifts in that are given to me or my son. I am single mother and I work very hard and sometimes come home late at night. I have purchased a handgun and i now have to walk up the stairs with my son in one hand and the gun in the other. If they will kick a persons door in open daylight who knows what will happen when night falls. Especially since Janie has refuse to hire security for the apartments. I guess she gets a bonus from the Apartment owners If she spends less money on our safety. I just want out this is no way to live especially for 650.00 a month. Oh yeah my air has gone out twice and both times I called the emergency maintenance line and got no response. So me and my son had to stay in a hot apartment in the middle of summer my baby was so miserable. I hate these apartments.

Im sorry you had to go through all this. I agree.they are terrible but it begins with the staff. Janie is horrible. She is so unprofessional and has no people skills. I would suggest you start documenting her every response. She has made so many mistakes. She claims her office never makes mistakes. Like you I had issues with the apt and with the maintenance. My ac never turned off and I ended up stuck with a high electric bill and no one seemed to care. I hope you get out soon. Read the lease..if they dont comply they are at breach of contract. You are not obligated to stay and keep dealing with it. Hope it all works out for you. In the meantime lets keep posting our reviews! They are TERRIBLE!!
