I have recently leased an apartment with you company. I found the apartment through FORRENT.COM. I was relocating from Phoenix AZ and really did not know the area or what to expect as for as apartments. My whole process was done over the phone and online. Things went well after I completed my application and pasted the credit check , however upon my arrival I was advised that my apartment had been changed to another number( I had already forwarded my mail over a week ago) also I had called the office several times just to make sure everything was ok no one advised me of this change. I understand some times things happen. In the meantime I start to move in my belongings ( I had a 16 ft truck packed to the door) as I looked around I noticed that the carpet had not been cleaned, the drawer in the kitchen was broken and sitting on the cabinet, and there was no refrigerator. Here it is Sunday labor day weekend. I opened one of the cabinets and to my surprise there were at least 20 roaches. I explained this all to Misty in the office and advised her that I was not happy. Monday I continued to move the rest of my belongings in and I set out about ten bombs. I had yet to stay in the apartment. Tuesday morning I waited expecting a call from someone in reference to this roach infested apartment that I had moved my belongings into. At 11:30 I called and I spoke to the manager at which time she advised that she was not aware of any of these things but she would fix it , and it would be ok, she would check on all of this and call me back.... NO CALL . I called back from work at 4pm Tuesday and I was placed on hold for at least 15minutes at that point I hung up and went to the office. I was told that there had been some changes made in the apartment and had I been there to see it. I asked have you been up there to see it' I was advised that Zora (the manager) had not gone to see it she was waiting for me to come home. (she had permission to enter) . She sent me upstairs to see that there was now a refrigerator in the kitchen however there were now roaches crawling on my boxes and a cluster of roaches above the bathroom toilet, about the patio window and several on the walls and ceilings throughout the apartment. I lost it. I just started sobbing. When Zora entered the apartment she advised me that this was not how your company works and let me cancel my lease, she returned my deposit. I advised I would be out as soon as possible. ( my belonging were moved out on Thursday.) On Wednesday pest control came and sprayed. Wednesday evening I came to the apartment which at this point is crawling with roaches everywhere and set off 7 more bombs. On Thursday I did not return to the apartment, I had moving company move my belongings I was advised that there still were roaches. On Saturday I came to the complex to return the keys and to get my receipt of payment and get my mail that had been being delivered to the wrong address for about 9 days. This time I had to deal with Theresa who for whatever reason had an attitude. I asked had my mail been retrieved from the apartment that I was supposed to be in. She stated no we don't do that. I asked well can you call over there and just advised the resident that I would be coming over she advised no. This was not a mistake that I had made nor should I have had to fix what they had messed up. I am really disappointed with your company as a whole the property is not what you advertise it to be online. The only nice thing I have to say is that the young lady in the office named Misty was very understanding and did everything in her power to try and fix this nightmare. Oh by the way I never did get my mail the people that live in the apartment never did answer the door. I don't know if they returned the mail to sender or what.
