It is now called the Winsted at White Rock and I love it here. It is just a few minutes walk to White Rock lake. The complex is gorgeous. As a girl living alone I feel very safe here, the complex is very secure.
I'm in law school at SMU and it only takes about 15 min to campus. It's also close to uptown and downtown. Lower Greenville is like 5 min. Baylor med center is a 10 minute drive. Many young professionals live here so it is fairly quiet.
There are always apartment activities like brunch, breakfast on the go (they give you breakfast to take with you as you leave the gate in the morning), potluck dinner, bingo night (w/food and prizes), etc.
I wish they included washer and dryers, we have connections, but you have to own them or rent from the complex. However, there are washer and dryers on the ground floor of each building, so it is convenient.
The only thing I don't like is there isn't a decent Walmart here. The nearest one is off I-30 and very ghetto. Target is fairly close, about 10 - 15 min and nicer.
Plus I love Lakewood. It's a really cute part of Dallas. I really like it here. Unless they raise my rent, I plan to stay here for a long time.

Don't get that started. I'm hispanic and I use the word ghetto. To me it means dirty, unkept and not really safe for a single gal to go late night alone.
