OK,
Whomever wrote the lengthy essay stating that they are just a resident and do not actually work for Woodglen. GET REAL!
I am a CURRENT resident and have actually been living here longer than yourself and everything you are denying or making light of, has actually HAPPENED. (gunfire included).
Obviously, any property has it's own issues. Not to mention, there is just no way that a property could insure saftey or prevent issues from happening from time to time. It is Dallas after all and we currently do have the highest pety crime rate in the nation.
However, what I think should be know is how management chooses not to address situations as they happen.
I for one, have had my apartment broken into twice in the past ten years and of which the management said nothing to anyone. Even though the first time it happened I later found out multiple apartments had been hit.
My vehicle has been broken into more times than I choose to count. One of the times, the police ended up catching the theif and of which he turned out to be a resident and yet nothing was ever said as well.... or even done for that matter. They let him continue to live here for about six months, knowing his record.
My fiance's is a Dallas Police officer and of which showed me the ammount of crimes and adistrubances that have been committed at this physical address and of which WOULD SCARE YOU.
Although with that said. Wildflower Apts are seemingly the disease that brings the rest of the neighborhood down. Therefore not all is Woodglen's fault.
BUT, if you want to actually address the staff un an unbiased opinion (unlike YOURSELF. Being, if you reread what you wrote you out yourself on numerous occasions)... Anyhow, there WAS and has been a MAJOR decay in the quality of staff working at the property over the past few years. Some definately worse than others. Things just don't get fixed right or on time for that matter and when they are fixed it is normally a shotty repair that managment takes NO responsibility of.
Case in point. My AC went out over the summer and continually broke down once a week (if not twice). Each time I would call, I would make note that it was out again and rather than fix the problem they just would replace my filter or add freon. This went on for literally six months until I physically got mad after it flat out quit and they "literally forgot to fix it that day and went home without even ackowleding the error."
I am in a small one bedroom without windows, so literally came home to a 90 degree apartment. I orginally called it in on a wednesday night and it wasn't fixed until friday morning. That nearly two full days I had to deal with being in an apartemnt without windows to open. You'd think I would have at least gotten a appology....
NOPE
As neither did I recieving any interaction on other numerous events. However, i think the bulk of the problems did lay with one individual in particular (in the office) whom I believe is no longer with the company. Or at least not here.
In order to not end this on a bad note, I do have to say that even with WEEKLY gunfire comming from out neighboring communities, blatent DRUG DEALS going on in our parking lots, flat out HORRIBLE parking situations (to include ---- tow-truck drivers)an obvious green funk growing on the bottom of the pool and a flat out worthless courtesy officer; I actually still ENJOY living here.
I am in my late 50's so have lived in many of places (in DFW and beyond) and can honestly say that for the "money itself" Woodglen isn't as bad as many others and for the most part anyone can walk around the parking lots (day or not) and not feel too insecure about the enviroment.
As for your comment about getting a taser, that seems a bit isolated and extream. Just go meet your neighbor. It's the friendly thing to do, not to mention it;s what makes my apartment feel like a home.
