Having been a resident of Deer Glen for an extended period I have seen numerous changes; not all for the good. Since the current Property Mgmt. company took over, it seems the intent was to put some money into superficial cosmetic upgrades and resale the property as quickly as possible. With hurricane Ike and the current economy, those ideas went down the drain. I am amazed that mgmt. continues to try and increase rental amounts while doing nothing to justify them. All water, electric (including power to heat for hot water) and trash pick up are paid by the residents so there is no expense to the property owners. The supposed renovations inside apartments was only done on those apartments empty when the project started. Good luck getting them if you were already occupying your apartment. Crime at the location has steadily increased; including muggings, break ins, vandalism and drug dealing. Lease aggreements are selectively and discriminatingly enforced based on mgmt. subjective view points. Needless to say, I will not renew my lease and would whole heartedly encourage anyone looking for an apartment to avoid this place like the plague.

I totally agree with the poster. They will promise you anything to get you in an apartment here but deliver nothing. They are deceptive, slip lease agreements in for longer than you think you're signing for and then deliberately don't give you a copy of your lease until it's too late to do anything about it. And if you do live here, PLEASE check your lease. They require 60-days notice to vacate instead of the usual 30 and they do NOTHING to try to rent your apartment so that you don't have to pay that extra month. SNEAKY AND DECEPTIVE. BEWARE!!!!!

Unless things have changed, which is very possible considering I've been moved out of there for about 2 years now... They send you a note about 3 months before your lease is up to remind you that you have to give a 60 day notice.
