The Arbors has to be the worst place to rent from. They lie to people to try to get them to rent from them. They told us there was a security officer and a maintence man living on site 24-7. I have never seen a security officer and when I had an emergency maintence issue on the weekend, they tried to not deal with the issue, but 4 hours later, finally called the maintenance man who lives 45 minutes away.
Also, they lied to us about the cost of the rent. It wasn't much more, but our lease was higher than the original amount we had agreed upon. Of course they know they can do this because when you have movers outside waiting to move you into your apartment, you will agree to a few extra dollars a month.
Not to mention, 2 months after I was allready living in my apartment they came up with extra fees that we needed to pay them for the move-in.
Also, their maintence guy is a joke. The very first day I moved in, I went to the office and told them my washer was not working, and told them the exact problem it was having. Four visits with the maintence guy later, after him telling us many times we were putting too much stuff in there (when was one set of sheets too much for an Extra Large Capacity Washer to handle'), and after a flood in my kitchen, they finally agreed that I was originally correct and fixed my washer. The guy is also a bit creepy. I have had female neighbors telling me he hits on them.
Also, the other appliances are a joke as well.
There is very little storage in the kitchen for food and dishes, if you actually do like to cook and eat at home.
Also, there is hardly a week that goes by that I don't get awaken by a party. Partying is key at the Arbors of Denton. Every trash day I always see empty cases of beer out there. I'm really tired of being woken up to "GET HIM ANOTHER BEER!" or shattering of broken glasses. And when they aren't partying... they are up listening to music at 7AM on a Sunday!
So yeah, if you want to sleep and study, and actually be successful in school, don't rent here. It is awful.
