Think twice before moving here.

Honestly, I didn't think these apartments were that bad.. until recently. I moved in July 2007 and picked these apartments because they are pet friendly. p.s. if you have an aggressive breed dog or a big dog - they'll disregard the pet policy and let you have it. There have been small annoyances, such as the apartment was a dusty mess when we first moved in, our water has been shut off several days.. but all in all, the maintenance guys are really quick and the office staff are all really nice and helpful.

My biggest problems here have been with the parking, gates, and RUDE neighbors. My roommate lives here, has a VALID parking sticker, and woke up one morning to find her car towed - then she had to pay $140 dollars to get it back and has yet to be reimbursed, and the apartment staff says it isn't their problem. We've had rude notes from neighbors left on our car when we were parked in OUR covered parking spot AND on our door telling us to stop talking so loud outside (seriously' yes.). Are you kidding me' This is apartment living - we never complain about noise or parties, it comes with the territory of sharing space with others. What I find ridiculous is the immature people who live here and don't handle problems like adults - instead they act like they are 12 years old.

Also, the parking is terrible. There are more residents than parking spots. Each apartment gets ONE covered parking spot and if you get home late and your roommate is parked in the spot, expect to have to park in "visitor" parking on the street and walk. I'm glad the gates finally work (since we pay for it) but the cards that you have to put on the card reader stink, and don't always work.

The grass is overwatered and you're almost always guaranteed to be walking around in mud. And you pay for it being overwatered too. They don't tell you when you move in that water for the WHOLE COMPLEX is put together and split up between residents based on sq. footage and apartment. So if you have a neighbor that leaves their sink running all month - you pay the bill.

One more thing, the apartments overcharge for rent - and the rent just went up. The reason' For instance, there's a 1,000 dollar giveaway if you renew. All YOUR money goes to getting more people to rent here, instead of being used FOR YOU.

I moved here so I could keep my dog while going to school and working, and if I didn't have my dog, the dorms would honestly be better. This is WORSE than living in the dorms, not because of the apartment staff but because of the disrespectful neighbors and parking. I can't wait to move out.

There are better, cheaper, safer places to live where you won't have to deal with these neighbors. :D

I would have to agree with this poster. I lived at the Arbors from 2003-2007 and was the courtesy officer. The problem with this complex is that it's a college complex with ALL college students. If that has changed, I am unaware of it. I know the courtesy officer there now and he says, he rarely gets any calls. That all being said, the mentality of most college students is very childish. They're told they're adults but still get treated like kids by their parents and families. If you're treated like a kid, you're going to act like one. That's the problem with many college students, not all, but many. Thus, the reason this reviewer hates living there. Me, personally, I couldn't wait to leave BUT it's because I was there forever and I wanted my freedom back. AND, I wanted to live around adults again...true adults who also act like it...most of the time.
