well, it is walking distance. Someone else said 30 sec from rec, I would say 10-15ish minutes from any other buildings. 15 being wooten way the heck over on the other side, but the bus comes in the mornings every 5 minutes.. and it takes me 10 minutes to get to the GAB.

The space is very large as well. With a washer and dryer.

However, each apartment/"condominium" is owned by a different person. Thus each place looks different. I am stuck with the owner that doesn't check in and doesn't give a flip what the tenet needs. We have nasty blue waxy feeling carpet throughout. The laminate on the cabinets is coming off and the fridge leaks water every now and then. our dryer is very old... our washer was old but it broke (see story below..a must read.)
Our neighbors however have nice laminate wood floor throughout and everything is freshly painted.
My friends upstairs both have nice seemingly new gray carpet and wood laminate in the kitchen.. but they have a cruddy stove.

Pool: a joke, small, hot tub not usually hot.

Parking: not assigned, sometimes annoying. During the day you may not be able to find a spot because people park and walk on campus sometimes but then they only tow at night when your friends may want to sleep over... doesn't make sense.

Noise: for a while we could predict when our downstairs neighbors would turn their music on with their really loud bass, between midnight and 130 am!! but really their is usually only party on the weekends. so it depends on neighbors and how often you call the cops on them... they are suppose to be fined by the complex when they are reported.

grounds: there was graffiti on the wall for the longest time but they finally repainted over christmas break. They also resurfaced the parking lot over spring break. i am beginning to think that they are going under new management cause its looked pretty crappy since i moved in.

rent: for 2 bed 2 bath is 900 divided by 2 people is 450. you can put more people and there is room for two twins but its 75 dollars extra per person. They cover water.

A/C : verrry old, not efficient at all!! thats the only thing making my electric bill so high!

Maintenence: they switched guys since we were here.. They're ok.. I have seen them around doing random maintenance checks kind of alot lately, like they randomly came in and fixed our toilet, which we had been meaning to report... but if you think about it, that saves them money.

On the other hand, I do not feel as if I should have to call everyday to see if they will come out and we have put in a couple requests to get our carpet replaced in our hallway. Our washer broke and overflowed all over the place and then mildewed. They came the day of and sat a fan down... I had to soak it up with a towel myself. They said carpet guys would come and vacuum the padding and carpet dry.... yea they never came... The maintenance guys came back in a couple of days with a new washer (which is nice..)and we told them that the carpet guys never came. So they said they would call them back... nope they never came. Apparently they cleaned the carpet downstairs that day cause thats how far the water went but not ours.

They actually charged my friend 100 dollars to fix his disposal because they said he put Styrofoam in it... ridiculous.

The pool broke once and there was a 5 foot geyser coming out of the filter ( i kid you not). That was when we found out they had switched because we called the emergency number and the guy said he didn't work here anymore... but hey that was their money shooting out of the ground.
