Great Apartments, Little Too Expensive

I've been a resident here for nearly 2 years now. I have no complaints with the Fountains so far. The management is very friendly and will work with you every step of the way if there is an issue with having to transfer to another unit. Parking can get a little tight at times as there's more reserved spaces near the buildings than there are regular spots; buying a covered parking space will easily allieviate that, however. Maitenence is generally pretty quick to fix things - it may take a couple of days, but they get everything working properly. The grounds are very well-kept; my only complaint on that aspect is some of the residents tend to be slobs and dump their trash next to their car or in front of the trash cans instead of in it. The first unit I lived in was VERY quiet; however, the building I live in now has some extremely rude and loud neighbors, but again, that's more of a resident issue than the complex's fault.
There's a good mix of students and older people here. I haven't noticed any disturbances due to loud parties and what not, so that's a plus.
There's also a gated dog park on the premises, which is nice if you have a dog. I wish my immediate neighbors would utilize this more as they let their dogs crap outside my bedroom window at 6AM EVERY MORNING; it wouldn't be so bad if A)They picked up after Rover like they're supposed to, and B)They wouldn't scream for Rover to come back in at 6AM - have a little courtesy for your fellow neighbors.
My biggest complaint, however, is that this complex is VERY expensive. While it's a newer complex, it's a little absurb what they charge for rent. I don't think there's a unit here that rents for less than $700 when it's all said and done (covered parking space, pet rent, etc). Yes, they charge pet rent here ($10/month), which I find a little silly since I own a cat (really, how destructive is a cat' What's the $400 pet deposit for then') I almost wonder if rent hasn't gone down since I moved in (however, since I've been here so long, I'm still under the "special" I signed up with 2 years ago), but as soon as my lease is up I'm going to have to find a less expensive property. There are no bills included here, so on top of $700 rent, you have to allow and extra $200-$300 for bills. I guess you pay so much money to ensure a pleasant living experience'
