When I came to the Fountains it was well run, grounds beautiful, management staff responsive to needs. Over the last 6 months the complex has significantly deteriorated. Work orders for repairs are significantly behind even when essential amenities are broken- such as toilets. The complex needs painting. Appreciate that they have replaced the treadmill but their weight machine cables have been broken for over 4 months. Management says they will be repaired but it has not happened in all this time. During the freeze the pipes broke in one of the buildings. The residents in that building received a written notice that the pipes were broken and the sprinkler system did not work. If there was a fire the residents were to call 911. Of course if there is a fire at any time a resident would call 911 anyway but I would expect that the management would ensure that the sprinkler system would be restored immediately for the safety of the residents. As of the middle of January (over 6-7 weeks later) there has been no notification that this situation has been repaired. Part of the outside wall in this building has broken panels where the pipes broke. Not only is this an eyesore but contributes to the question of whether the repair has occured. Thus the safety of the residents is at risk! The lack of response is very concerning and I would imagine a violation of city ordinance. If there has been a repair then management should have communicated that this issue was resolved.
In the time that I have been there the noise level has increased significantly. The grounds have deteriorated from being well kept to dying grass and shrubs- this is not because of the winter conditions either. There are containers in some areas where the residents can get bags for cleaning up after their pets- these now remain largely unfilled. The garage doors are in need of painting as well as the exterior apartment walls. The iron railings are rusting. Burned out outside lights that do not get replaced quickly contribute to a concern for safety.
I will not review my lease because of the deterioration in the safety, environment, and responsiveness of the team. I hold the management company responsibile for the deterioration and the lack of safety.
