The Gazebo was a good place to live as a college student. It is definitely not the nicest or most luxurious apartment in town, but for the price and location it can't be beat. It is less than a mile from campus, and although the bus does not stop at the Gazebo, it comes about 1/10 of a mile down the street. It is very close to downtown, and literally 30 seconds walking distance from a convenience store and TJ's Pizza and Wings (which is open until 2am). My neighbors were always very quiet, and the walls here are thick - much better than my girlfriend's apartment (Uptown) which costs about three times as much. There were some problems, including my toilet randomly flooding within the first week of moving in, but the maintenance guys were always quick in getting to the apartment and were really nice. The buildings were built quite a while ago, but the complex is well kept. The maintenance guys clean up with power washers, and they walk around picking up trash, trimming bushes, etc. The office staff is ridiculously nice, and they usually have some nice kittens living in the office. There are quite a few stray cats that roam around the complex, but they are all nice and have been spayed/neutered by the office staff.

Charter cable is included, and it gives you about 70 channels. I can't stress this enough when I say GET VERIZON DSL HERE. It is about 30 bucks a month without a phone line, but it has been very fast and support has been great. I tried to get Charter Cable internet, but I spent about 6 hours on the phone with about 20 different people trying to find someone who could figure out how to add cable internet to a bulk account (because the cable is free). I finally got so frustrated I contacted Verizon and got cheaper, better internet. It has about 3mbps down and 900kbps up, and it is great for torrenting.

I would highly recommend the Gazebo if you are looking for an apartment close to campus in this price range. You will not find anything better :)

The maintenance guys are horrible!!! They are extremely irresponsible, lazy and disrespectful to any resident that ask them to be efficient and diligent in fulfilling their obligations. It is amazing how this guys camouflage themselves in order to avoid residents that need them to fix stuff that is obviously deteriorated by their lack of attention. I wish the Apartment complex management read this review and enforced stricter supervision to these "band of lazy brothers"!!!
