the pros:
its cheap
the electricity is cheap
the cons:
-bugs everywhere (i have bug bombed twice and sprayed myself once- AND had the apartment bug guy here AND weatherstripped--- i STILL have bugs)
-LOTS OF PAPERWORK (its considered low income)
-noisy neigboors (these are the drunk college neigboors)
-kids (>15) running around all hours of the night
-people "tagging" (spray painting) - there is a new tag a few times a month
-speeding neigboors going <45 mph on the side streets (there are small kids!)
-rude office staff--- not all but a few they head lady is real helpful and nice- but those other girls are real short--- they don't give a crap about answering your questions directly or helping you, i dont like talking to them so i ask for the head lady.
-you can't get anything buy verizon, if you want dish or direct tv you have to pay an ungodly amount of renters insurance to put a dish on your patio.
-wasn't built well, you can hear your upstairs neighboor walk like crazy, but i guess that is unfair because that is most apartments.. the neigboors to the side of you, you can't hear at all though.

I currently live here, and I also have bugs. But not really roaches, like I would expect in an apartment in Texas--I have spiders and ladybugs and grasshoppers and small bright green bugs i can't identify....what i usually explain to people is that my apartment backs up to private farm land. Behind me is a really pretty view separated by a wooden fence and there are horses and other wildlife, and relatively unspoiled nature, as much as you can get that next to loop 288. Anyway, that's my two cents on the bugs--I don't like them, but I see it as a trade-off that I don't have to look out at a cement city around my complex. I'm sure the bugs would diminish if they developed the farmland around the complex. But for now it just feels more like a neighborhood.

we lived here for 1 year. I would give it an average review. The pros are fairly nice looking appts for a low price. We never had a problem with bugs. And maintenence was always very prompt about helping us with any issues. The cons are lots of unsupervised children, some very young, roaming around. The only prob we had with the office is that we wanted to have our son's bday party in one of the common rooms & were assured twice by one of the leasing agents that it would be fine. When I called back to confirm, I was told by Joe, that that has never been allowed & NONE of her staff would tell me that. When I explained that Id already sent out invitations, she just said sorry & wouldn't budge on the issue. She appologized, but would do NOTHING to accomodate me.
The pool is nice, but usually FULL of kids, many unsupervised. And, there was inappropriate behavior among young teens, and drinking going on at times. But, this was corrected with a call to the security officer. We also lived close to the basketball cts. & there were often kids out there late at night. Once again, security took care of it. Just a lot of people without a clue living there-like the ppl who speed through the parking lots & IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS who let their dogs poop all over the place & don't clean up after them!! Making it hard for kids to play outside on the small amount of grass available!
