One of the worst complexes I've lived in

Where to start. The apartment itself is nice. It's quite spacious and the rent is super affordable. The only real problem I've had with the apartment itself is that stains have been slowly appearing on the carpet though nothing has been spilled. The apartments are low-income and that means LOW-INCOME. As a recent graduate with a roommate who quit school, we don't have tons of money and figured that in a college town most of the neighbors would be in a similar situation. I was very wrong. The people that live here are trashy, shady and disgusting. There is always trash left out around our building. There is always loud bassy music playing outside or kids/teenagers screaming in the middle of the night. There have been fights in the halls of the building on several occasions. We have had problems with our upstairs neighbors being noisy since literally the first night we moved in. They begin at about 5 AM and keep going until about 2 AM. Banging, moving furniture, dropping heavy things, who knows. We have complained many times to the leasing office only to have the management yell at us. They told us that we should move out because they can't make us happy. Nothing has been done to rectify the noise situation and we finally quit complaining because we were the ones getting in trouble. We also had problems with loud children running around in the streets very late at night. Same situation, management AND courtesy officer were incredibly rude and threatened us. Problem was finally resolved because we found out which apartments the kids belonged to and sent the city police after them. The management staff are BY FAR the RUDEST people I have EVER come across in my entire life. My roommate and I learned not to try to address any issues with them because they will only yell at us for complaining. I cannot wait until my lease is up and would NEVER recommend that anyone ever live here.

I could not agree more! I would not recommend this place to anyone. The saying you get what you pay for is true in this case. Yeah its LOW INCOME but they also have LOW CLASS staff!

I'm not sure where this person was living, but that is not the providence place I know. I spend a lot of time in the office using the business center and I have never once heard the manager or the staff yell at anyone. Be realistic, what can the staff do but tell them to stop? They can't make people be quiet. Also, the courtesy officer is an actual police officer, so if you knew who the kids were you could have called him and gotten the same result. There are kids that live here and there are some college students, but overall everyone is pretty nice. Perhaps you are "getting in trouble" because you are the one being inappropriate. Managers don't want to "yell" at tenants, they want you to be happy and stay.

Oh and to the person who advised me to 'get my facts straight,' how could they not be straight? I am the one living here and experiencing things. Why would I lie? I don't get anything from writing good reviews about where I live

yes, get your facts straight!!!! There are NO Lawsuits against the community. They were dropped when it was found to be frivolous...somebody who repeatedly failed to pay rent and to have other lease violations and who were getting evicted, were probably the one's to strike up a lawsuit for discrimination, or something like that.
