I lived here for 1.5 years and I would recommend the complex, but you need to be aware of what you'll be living with if you choose to move here.

Maintenance: I never had the problems some of the previous reviewers had with the maintenance here. I had a couple things that needed to be fixed (leaking window, broken AC in the middle of summer, refridgerator stopped working), but they were all fixed the same day or a day later. The maintenance men here were very polite and seemed to know the complex very well.

Safety/Parking/Grounds: I honestly never paid much attention to the grounds here. It doesn't look wonderful, but it's not an eyesore, either. You can rent a covered parking space, which I recommend because you won't have to search for a space on weekends. There isn't much visitor parking here, but I've had several friends park in the resident spaces near Lindsey St. and they were never towed. I felt reasonably safe while here, and I am a woman who lived alone. You can walk to and from bus stop after dark without worrying about anything. Always lock you car and your doors, though...it's not a gated community.

Noise: Sometimes it was a huge problem, other times it wasn't an issue at all. There are a few college students here who are extremely selfish and don't care if you have to listen to their music/parties at any time of the day or night. (I myself was a college student while here, but I was always the one complaining about the noise, not the one being complained about!) I think I ended up driving one of my worst neighbors away (or at least to a different part of the complex), which pretty much ended my noise problems. If you like it quiet, stay away from the units near Lindsey St. (the side nearest 35) and the townhouses.

Staff: Erin was my favorite staff member here. The others weren't too bad; I just didn't always get the impression that they knew what they were doing. I don't know how they handle frequently late payments, but I do know that I was once 2 days late paying my water bill and they treated it as if nothing had happened.

Overall: It's a little pricey, given that it is an older complex. I never had any insect problems while here. The appliances are a bit older, but they seem to work pretty well.

It's by no means luxorious, but it's not the ghetto, either.
