These apartments look great and are very roomy. They are clean and very new.
The main problem is that the management is very incompetant and they seem not to care much about problems. If you call about a problem, most of the time the person you talk to wont know how to resolve it and will promise to call back later after they find out. Dont hold your breath. They wont call back.
Policies are constantly changing with little or no warning. Some of the notes that are left on doors to alert tenants to a particular policy are very impolite. Ive gotten several "FINAL NOTICES" of something that I never received a first notice on! Parking is one of those issues. They didnt give tenants enough time to obtain new parking permits and then towed a lot of cars. We got a "FINAL NOTICE" that cars would be towed without proper permits something like two days before the towing was to start. IT WAS THE ONLY NOTICE I EVER RECEIVED! Luckily, I did obtain my permit in time, but worried about those people who might not have enough time to take care of it before it was too late. I was right to worry. They got their cars towed and had to pay to get them back.
Also, Ive noticed that the new buildings are "settling" improperly. There are some cracks already showing up on my walls and two doors in my apartment wont close anymore.
The lights in the breezeway of my building hardly ever worked, which is very dangerous after dark.
Some of the people that are moving in are very scary. There is a lot of noise at night because of teenagers running around yelling and fighting and taking drugs. Theres no security around to stop them.

I have something new to add. After I moved out I called after about 30 days to ask if I would be getting my deposits back. I was told that I would be getting the whole amount back. Well, it's been well over two months and I still can't get them to give it to me. I just found out that when they do finally get around to giving it to me it will be minus about $30 for some reason. I never received any letter telling me why I'm not getting the whole amount back. They hold onto it a whole month longer than they are supposed to and then they decide to keep some of it. I am furious. The management of this place is completely worthless and incompetent, that includes the owners, Southwest Housing.
