How you gonna stunt on me'

This apartment has a wide variety of people. It is ... culturally diverse. There were nightly occurrences of people getting into fights, screaming matches, wrestling matches right in front of my apartment. A couple of times there were gang fights with baseball bats coming into contact with random cars in the parking lot, which all happened in front of my building. Including the one where a guy continued to yell 'How you gonna stunt on me in front of those hoes'. I am pretty sure I heard a gun go off. The apartments are dead during the day, but at night they come alive, which brings the noise and the drunkards. My apartment has the smell of urine coming from the wall. I complained to the office for about 3 months and finally decided to start staying with my boyfriend since they wouldn't fix the problem. The people who live above me party all night, every night. The apartment complex is extremely noisy and parking at night is hard to come by. When I moved in in August we had really bad bug problems (roaches/crickets). Also, my friend in the next building has a law suit against the apartment for finding black mold in their vents. It is a luxury apartment, but when you get down to the basics it truly is student housing ... and within a year it will be the next Jefferson Commons.
It really does amaze me that the management is so nice and seems so eager to help you ... but they never actually fulfill their promises.
P.S. if you do decide to live here make sure to purchase covered parking because it is impossible to find parking, and if it's uncovered you risk damage to your vehicle from people with baseball bats.

That's what that gunshot was? I haven't heard that in a long time, brought back my childhood and the number for the Denton police into my cell. If you're into being a crazy -----, you can hit your neighbor's wallets by calling the police on them for $300 noise violations. I didn't have to do it- one of the other neighbors did. We came to an understanding that I work at the crack of dawn on a fixed weekly schedule- being understanding people who were missing their beer money.. we haven't had any problems since on those weeknights. Don't get the front bedroom because of the noise from the breezeway, but don't get the back bedroom because the a/c doesn't work so hot in there. Above all, don't pay more than $499. And those "rules" in the leasing agreement apply during the hours the leasing office is open. Nights and weekends are a free for all. I'm actually moving back into the dorms for fall. Ruletastic as they may be, it's great for me because I never see the need to break any of them- yet it keeps neighbors in line. For the bugs: Sticky traps, bait, and the BEST way to get rid of ants is to sprinkle outdoor ant killer around the outside walls of your apartment. We experienced a quick victory at war with ants, and recently a few spiders- but it's the season for those. |
