Welcome to the ghetto, kids! This is a nightmare that won't go away. I lived here several years ago, gave notice, received my deposit BACK--because, yes it WAS clean. And for some reason they reported to the credit agency that I owe them rent. I have spoke to Karen Turnbow personally about this, spoke to her chain-smoking white trash secretary and they have promised it will be resolved--years later!!! Why is this important' YOU CAN'T RENT ANYWHERE ELSE WITH THAT ON YOUR CREDIT!!!
Worse than that, the management are pros at avoiding you, your maintenance requests and complaints. Don't get me wrong, I knew the place was a dump when I laid eyes on it, but I was a poor (sap) college student like everyone else. I actually had my (fresh from Mexico) neighbors play tejano music at all hours (so loud I reguraly slept with earplugs, which really didn't help). These same people actually had live chickens living in their house and would often ask me for money (yeah, I'm ROLLING in cash, that's why I'm living at TurnCrap too, buddy.) What's worse is I actually would pay my rent in advance ( a lump sum at the beginning of the semester--hello, college loan) and they would frequently "forget" I had paid rent many moons previously and try to evict me. Hello, RETARD! I paid already! I should've known something strang was afoot when I viewed the apartment and was quoted a "special price" and when I returned (two weeks later) to sign the lease the rent jumped 75 dollars!! When I said "no way" they "remembered" the special. Read: SCAM
I had problems with roaches, mice, outrageous utilites ($120 for a one-bedroom LOFT)that's ONE room, people. Why are the cops always making rounds here' Oh yeah, mexi-coke heads everywhere. Lock your car and park it on the NICE side of Denton.
