The Best on the West (Side of El Paso)

I am active duty Army, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. Before coming to El Paso, I did extensive research trying to find a place to live that was in a nice area, decently priced and secure. I have found all three and more at Kings Hill. Although the location is about a 25-30 minute commute in the mornings to Fort Bliss, it is more than worth it.
I currently live in one of the 1 Bed/1 Bath apartments and moved in back in October of 08. It may be a bit older than some of the other complexes around the city, but it is very spacious and you cannot beat the price. Everything in the place was clean and orderly, as well as up and running, when I arrived. I went over the entire place to find any issues (which the staff encouraged me to do so that could fix any deficiencies). However, I could not find any and haven't had an issue since moving in.
You will barely hear noise from other apartments because of the hefty, thick walls and ceilings, the carpet was cleaned and in good shape, the bathroom was impressive (although the water pressure where I live isn't the best in the shower, it isn't bad enough to complain about). Parking can be tight at times, depending on where in the complex your apartment is, but its never too much of a hassle. The entire property is sprayed for insects weekly, the landscaping is done often and well kept, maintenence issues are handled in a timely manner (so I hear from my neighbors, I haven't had any problems). Finally, since the property is high up on top a hill, you will neer deal with any noise or issues that come with living right next to a main road (Which in this case is Mesa St./RT 20). As a result, the only people that you will see around the complex are all your neighbors.
Best of all, the staff at Kings Hill is amazing. They are very professional, pleasant and accomodating. When the water company tried to charge me additional fees for some administrative BS, the staff called them up and made the issue disappear. Everytime I go into the office I feel welcomed and at home. When I see the staff around the property, they always greet you with a smile and some polite words. They truly care about what they do on a daily basis, and it shows.
Beyond that, the people that live around me are simple a delight. Having never been out to El Paso, or this far west in general, I wasn't expecting to find such a welcoming, clean, pleasant and decently priced place to live so easily.
If your looking for a place in El Paso, you should definately consider giving Kings Hill a look, I guarantee they will not disappoint.
