Collectivley my roommate and myself have resided here for 6 years, the first 4 years were decent and while under ownership of Con-am leasing we treated fair and if a problem existed we were dually compensated exaple...no hot water or air for a few days while repairs were in the process, we were issued notices of reductions on rent, utilties etc.
Utilities...good place to start. Brentwood is sub meteres, which in layman terms is they can charge what they want. Brentwood is currently very low on tenants. There fore, our electric bill has been $160.00 per months for over 18 months now...no fluctuation. Yet we lose air and heat in the winter for weeks on end, it NEVER differs...not by a cent. I have spoken to TXU and they say we shouold get a meter reading, have yet to see one. Texas Utilities Comission is waiting on a response regarding our complaints. Per TXU oour meter readings could not warrant a bill that high.In the dead of summer 2 years ago, our bill NEVER exeeded $50.00.
Moving on,management: One work PATHETIC, another, incompetant. Customer service is lacking, care is non existant,Tony and Janet are a disgrace to all good managers out there. Julio, their supervisor is just as pathetic. Needless to say, our lease is up on 31st of Dec 04, we are moving.
The complex itself is run down and roach infested to a very high degree, since moving there, I am on 1st name basis with 2 code enforcment officers...Jesse A and Ken. It is a sad thing really. We have a family member that is in pest control and he and his superiors have advised in order to get rid of them we had to get rid of all wood items, furniture etc, picture frames and many more things we will miss thanks to the roaches.
Brentwood Terrace used to be a decent place to reside, Tony, Janet and the new owners have destroyed the property and all tenant manager trust and we fully intend to continue litigation when we relocate with several agencies. I intend to see them be shut down or be condemned. These peopls's biggest problem is they do not take in to consideration that they were tenants before they were managers.
