This apartment complex will say and do what ever they have to do to get you to move in. Then everything is forgotten. The personnel in the office have continually lied to me about things they promised...over the phone or in person off course. My error was not getting everything in writing. Do this....and I mean everything.
Our air conditioner did not work properly. I talk to them for months about the high bills...$300.oo plus per month. Finally 5-6 months later, and a couple thousand$ later it debt due to the high bills, a new unit was installed.
I had to ask them to weatherstrip the front door area as we had bugs, lizards and spiders everywhere. They did the weather stripping several times, but not correctly so the bugs continued. ourselves.
Be careful..no pet deposit....they waived it, then say you owe it when you move.
Don't go near this place. $40.00 extra $$ on top of rent for extra grounds fees.
Gas....we had no gas. Boilers I think. So be prepared to add $40.00 on top of your rent. The worst was the office staff, including the Manager, who told me she could charge me anything she wanted when I questioned her about a transfer fee I was not told about $400.00 $85.00 Security fee to move to a smaller apartment. At the time, I was told no problem, they would find me a smaller one. I never missed paying a months rent. Always on time, so I considered myself an excellent tenant.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. i live on the 2nd floor and my electric bill has not been more than $50. ever. i use dark curtains to keep sunlight out and i use fans and or crack windows or my patio door for breeze to keep cool. i have lived here since sept and i feel the management has been very professional and patient and understanding. i needed maintenance on my AC unit the first month i moved in because it was blowing hot air and they fixed it within 24-48 hours. i do agree with you however about getting "promised" things in writing as that can come in handy if you ever need to reference it later. as far as the bugs and stuff...i have only seen ONE spider IN my apartment since I've lived here. i saw a lizard on the stairs but we live in a wooded type area...you are going to see reptiles and bugs. we cannot ask creatures to leave their natural habitat just so we dont have to see them. i did see a baby garden snake the size of a worm once but that was right after a few days of solid rain and the grass was a bit higher than usual. i just left it alone and went back inside. i do apologize again that you have had such a negative experience with Enclave. i think this place gives me my moneys worth. as far as the ground fees and stuff...its paying for the lawn mowing, the trash service, someone to pick up our dog's poo (when the owners are too lazy to do it) and keep this place maintained. i dont really think a professional landscaping, trash, or pest control service is free. nor is the gas they need for their company vehicles and their lawn equipment. my point is, i dont disagree with being charged $40 bucks to keep this place maintained. thank god WE dont have to mow the yard and take care of the plants and landscaping as well as take care of the trash. im thankful i dont have to do all that. when i get a house someday i will or my fiance will...i read these reviews and i just dont see any kind of hostile service coming from the management. i really hope you have a more positive experience no matter where you live and again, i am truly sorry you have had such a negative one here. my biggest complaint about this place is the parking. You must work there or be completly blind. Since I have been living here I have yet to see a company vehicle. The only vehicle I have ever seen is the one that the mantainance guys drive, you know the one that is always parked in a fire lane or handicap parking. I have had similar issues with them coming out and fixing things so we have had to go to typing a request up, signing it and handing it to the staff. Even then stuff still dosen't get done. This is a terrible complex to live in. If you are considering, please thank real hard if you want to be overcharged for old apartments with bad plumbing and bad service, if you do than this is the place for you if not don't move here.

Yes, Enclave management submit their own reviews. But, even with them writing these "great reviews", there are enough people out there who have experienced so many issues they are willing to take the time and write the truth. If you believe those rave reviews after so many warnings, then you deserve what you get.

It's a known fact that more people are going to leave a review about something negative rather than something positive! I work in the apartment industry (not for Enclave or their Management Company) and can't believe how quick someone is to get on this website and write a review about something just because they didn't "get their way". I visited Enclave over the weekend and was very impressed by the way I was treated and the apartment that I was shown! Maybe you could stop and put yourself in the shoes of one of the office staff, would you want someone to write something negative about you? It's a shame that every company doesn't have a website like this so that we could go and write about how you wouldn't give us what we wanted...when we wanted it! Think about that next time you decide to go on this website and leave a "review"!
