I lived in Fountain Wood for about 4 yrs. When I moved in, my carpet was not new and was somwhat servicable. Keyword here is "somewhat". Although I asked if carpet would be replaced they said it would be cleaned. Ok...so I moved in. When renewing my lease (the second time) I asked the manager at that time If I could get new carpet. She indicated that might be possible. However, after renewing nobody ever came to look at my carpet or replace it. After another year or so I moved out. Carpet was much worse due to "normal wear & tear". After leaving, I got a letter stating I owed them $652.00 I ignored this and they then turned it over to a collection aganecy. I know they are trying to pass off costs of upkeep to tenats as this company is operating on a thread and a prayer. I am personal friends with a guy who does repairs on the sprinkler systems there. He tells me they are always just wanting to just fix whatever they can get by with. In other words...there cheap bastards and can't pay for upkeep and maintenance on the place. He tells me this has been going on for years. So it is no surprise that they try to shaft residents when they move out. Stay away from this cheap Apartment complex.
