This has been just a horrible experience. I have lived in these apartments since March. I have lived in apartments before but moved here from a 3 bedroom house with horrible insulation and my electric bills went up with this apartment by over half. They did not fix the things on my inventory list. My stove does not work properly yet when they come in, they leave a note that it is working. It has had a horrible insect problem. I requested in writing for it to be taken care of but never received a response. Finally they did send someone in to spray and it didn't work so they had to do it again. I'm still waiting to see if it worked. So with all of this, I'm thinking, well that's what you get for cheaper apartments but then my air conditioner goes out. A day later they fix it. Then it breaks again. They fix it again. Then my apartment floods in the living room, the dining room and the bedroom. It takes them a couple days to respond, then the person who comes in to fix it, doesn't fix it. They send a carpet person in to suck out the water and he breaks my entertainment center and my dresser is ruined from water damage. A day later, its all flooded again. They tell me someone is going to be there so I miss work to show them everywhere it is wet and no one shows up. I don't get phone calls back. I call and ask again and the person I talk to tells me they don't know anything about it because they don't communicate within the office. Finally, the air conditioner guy puts a new coil in and tells me that my old one was shot so I should save a ton in electric (I can only hope) and fixes some clogged hoses. A couple days later, still flooding, they decide its coming from the apartment upstairs. They fix it, they cut the carpet down the middle and rip it up to pull all the padding and leave it to dry. About a week later, I ask if anyone is every going to come back and put the padding back down and fix the apartment. Again, the office forgot about me. SO, I am home for a week, its dry I get everything back in place. I didn't make a big deal about the entertainment center or the dresser because they weren't worth a whole lot. I go on vacation and come back and the whole place is flooded again. After 5 weeks of this I am TICKED OFF. I call on a Sunday and someone comes and works on it until 11pm. He tells me that someone will be there in the morning to clean up all the water. I stop by around 3pm, after picking my kids up from school and see that nothing has been done. I call the office and they send someone to come clean it up. BUT since the leak still was not fixed, it continues to flood at a rapid pace. I send a very ugly email and then finally go down and tell them what I think about living in a flooded apartment for 6 weeks and I want them to move me to a different apartment or get it fixed and reimburse me some rent or something. The manager tells me she is going to get things taken care of and she is nice enough but after it is all said and done. I have a dry apartment, with carpet that is stained and ripped down the center, a ruined dresser, a broken entertainment center, molded floor boards and a wall that is just filthy with the soot from the plumbers cleaning the lines for the airconditioner out. On top of all of this, no one every calls me back to tell me that they are going to give me any type of credit or let me move without breaking my lease. Now that its not wet, they don't care about anything else. Oh, I should add that I sent an email to the management company and never received a response. I understand that things happen but not when people are not considerate of others living conditions.
