I've lived here for about 9 months now and have had 3 disputes with the manager already about her constant desire to scam me and other residents as much as she possibly can.And don't try reasoning with her about anything as if it's talking to a wall as she will ignore you and treat you rudely and does not know the meaning of compromise or respect as she has a very bad attitude problem. And just to show you why i call her a scam artist, here is what i've had to deal with living here so far.
1)Refused to allow umovefree.com to pay me $200 for being my referral to them as i had missed to add it in my application although i had mentioned it to them before i even signed it but of course the scammer rejected it after i signed my lease.
2)Replaced 2 of 3 appliances and wanted to charge me the full price instead of being honest and asking me to pay for what i was given.I got the regional manager involved and she was fair enough to charge me correctly.
3)Wanted to charge me a rental late fee as a new staff member had given me false info on what date it was and telling me I had 1 more day to pay where i was greeted by management when i went the next day to pay telling me I have a late payment to make also as if it was a set-up to try to scam me again. But once again explaining things to miss attitude didn't help as i got the regional manager involved again and as you know it she was understanding enough to hear me out and understand what exactly went on to drop the late fee.And oh by the way that new staff member i was referring to'For some good reason is not part of the staff any longer.
(Hmmm wonder why)
A manager does not have to be trying to scam residents inorder to be a sucessful manager as all a resident is looking for from management is to be honest and understanding. It's manager's like her that give a bad name to other managers. And remember those smiley faces you saw from the staff members on the day you were signing your lease'Well most of those don't exist anymore as if the manager has cast a dirty spell on there smiles and replaced them frowns.Wouldn't be suprised if she had threatened them with there jobs if they tried to smile.Yes people beware she can be that evil.
Also service hear isn't like it used to be as it now takes days to get a response especially on a weekend where according to miss manager,it seems it has to be a life threatening event to get a response as if having a sink overflowing isn't an emergency event.
P.S If you do decide to move here, don't trust the words of the staff as they have no credibility once so ever and make sure to protect yourself by recieving everything in writing from the office or else you may get screwed like the rest of us.

Every right to complain warrants another right to defend. I was a resident of the Landing for over 2 years. After having lived in apartments where they flooded and had such foundation issues that I felt like I was going down a slope I wound up at the Landing. If I were not building a new home I would still be there. With my medical issues it was the only place in the last 6 years that my husband and I called home.
The staff has been a pleasure to deal with . Being in customer service myself for over 20 years I can be the world's worst person to deal with. My maintenance requests were always timely and accurate. In fact I moved in on Easter Sunday and the air was not working and Raphael came out that day to fix it. My microwave was replaced after it stopped ( not all units come with one so it did not have to be replaced). My carpet was replaced at the renewal of my lease at 12 months. Kim has been nothing but professional and I admire her integrity. There was a time the last few months when she was working at another site.Maybe that was the time frame that you had the issues.
I am a very matter of fact person who knows what I want and how to go about getting it.Business is business. Sometimes it does not always go our way and we all have responsibility for our actions. That is just life.
I am sorry that your experience was a bad one but I would not consider Kim a scam artist in the least. Juat a down to earth working person with a job to do like everyone else. She runs a nice ( for the age of the complex) apartment building that is well land scaped and gives you more than concrete and brick walls. Activities exist that include all tenants and gives all an opportunity for participation.
It is not the Ritz or the Gaylord but your home is what you make it ...not everyone else.
