These apartments are okay, but if I had to do it over again I would have looked around more and spent an extra $170 a month to find a newer nicer apartment.
These apartments are 30 years old. The grounds/amenities are pretty nice, especially for an apartment of this (low) price range, but with certain things you get what you pay for. For example the spa has been broken since last summer, and they do not appear to want to spend the money to have it fixed anytime soon. I doubt it will be fixed by the end of this summer. Apparently it has a leak, & one of the heaters is burned out so the water is cold. Also, the button to activate the spa jets has been ripped out/vandalized. If they actually get around to fixing this I will remove this comment from my review immediately. The tennis court is real nice and they just resurfaced/repainted it. The pool area though is pretty nice but can be overrun at times with lots of loud unsupervised kids. It should be noted - and this applies to any apartment in the Bear Creek Area no matter the price, that from 6-10 pm a jet airplane flies over to land at DFW about every 4 minutes! These airplanes are loud enough to prevent you from getting to sleep- 9-10 pm seems like the most active time for landings especially on weekdays. An apartment with a bedroom that faces north might lessen the noise from this. I don't agree with a previous reviewer about safety. The apartments are safe enough for any single woman - I don't see any evidence of loitering or crime. I don't really hear my neighbors which is good.
