I was happy with this apartment complex and the management staff was fine when I first moved in. The people who live in the complex are quiet, nice people. There are problems with the complex though, including: 1) parking is inadequate to put it mildly, very difficult to have visitors 2) speedbumps equivalent to logs were put in shortly after I moved in, beware those who have compact/sports cars 3) although apartments look nice they are cheaply built, especially cabinets, trim, floor uneven 4) mgmt staff is snobby at times (even though they prob have little more than a high school education) 4) staff will not hesistate to charge you extra $300 for turning in rent a day late instead of calling you 1st (esp after paying on time/early for >1 yr) 5) pool is utterly useless, deepest is 4 ft deep 6) only allow sbc services, I would rather have comcast...don't need landline required for dsl. These are the major problems with the complex, please consider these if you are thinking of moving in.

Just because you work at the place (its obvious, don't try to deny it) does not mean you can treat everyone like complete morons. Who is really going to know to ask whether the apartment complex ONLY allows SBC unless they've already lived at an apartment that had that? I never even knew apartments or SBC COULD do that until I moved into an apartment that follows that policy. But guess what? I still got around it. I have Comcast cable tv and internet and Vonage for phone service. So unless you need DSL...which I don't suggest (cable is better) then there are ways to get around that crap. Just because you learned that the apartment complex does that when they TRAINED you as an EMPLOYEE does not mean it is common knowledge. You know what else drives me nuts, people always saying "well you know rent is due on the 1st!" Yeah, most people do not have a problem with that (I never have) but that does not mean that a few days extra would be bad. You say its due on the first and you give no extra days..late rent might happen through no fault of the tenant just because they do not get PAID before the 1st! I get paid on the 15th and last business day of every month so I never have to worry but for example, my husband gets paid every two weeks on Fridays. Now, this upcoming month (May 2006), he does not get paid until May 5th. His last paycheck was on April 21st. He gets about 600 every 2 weeks. Our current rent is 685. So if I was budgeting on his income alone...I would have to put back money from each paycheck or a couple paychecks in order to cover rent...not to mention the other bills that come up throughout the month (TXU, Car insurance, Comcast, Vonage and some others). So he might have to use some of the April 21st paycheck and some of the May 5th paycheck to cover rent. So I can see where you may not be able to pay exactly on the 1st of the month unless you want to overdraw you bank account. And who wants to pay returned check charges and all that bull? Properties should give some leeway for their tenants. They make enough money off of all those tenants to get rich, so quite trying to making harder on the working class that are just trying to get by. Geez.

UPDATE: I've had my fill of this place too! I don't work there, thank God! The people now are TERRIBLE! And yes,it would be nice if they would give us til the fifth for rent. But I have lived in so many apts., and they are all the same. They don't care. If you happen to find one that does, let me know. Thank You

From my experience you have till the 3rd to pay your rent... It was like that that last place that I lived too.... And the whole bill thing... R-E-S-P-O-N-S-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y I live paycheck to paycheck but I seem to pay mine on time.... And how did that sound like an employee? That would be like me telling people not bank at my bank cause there are limited ATM's and the tellers a snotty... Think about it first...
