I signed a lease for a townhome at the Mansions, and gave a 30 day notice where I currently live. When I signed my lease I noticed the terms of my lease had been typed as for a 16 month lease vs. the 13 month that was talked about. I immediately started calling the "assitant manager" I was told she was the only one who could change it since she was the one who showed me the apt. and signed the papers. After two and half weeks of no returned calls I called the office again I had to leave a stern message for the "property manager" before she would finally return my call.
FINALLY I received a returned call from the "assistant manager" only to be told "she would have to contact corporate"....' Again I did not get a returned call. Once again, I called the office. This time the "property manager" answered the phone. I explained my concerns with her, she too had to speak to corporate. Two days later I received a call from the "property manager" she said they would change the terms to a 13 month lease. It has now been 3 weeks since I signed and started calling the office staff. I told the property manager my concerns to move in the Mansions. I feel they tried to deceive me on the lease, they wouldn't return my calls, no one has the authority to make a decision without contacting corporate, I have driven around the complex and have asked MANY times about parking space. I have always been told it is not a problem and there is PLENTY of parking. I asked "where'" I asked the "Property Manager" "how they treat tennants once they move in if this is how they treat you before you are a tennant'" I do not feel they do business in an ethical way and their integrity is "NONE".
I truly DO NOT want to move to the Mansions. I have expressed this to the "property and assistant managers" I have been told by both too bad you signed the lease.
They have known for weeks that I do not want to move in and have had the opportunity to lease my unit to someone else. They would rather have an unhappy tennant live in their complex with grief than lease the apt to someone who wants it. If I would have not drove to pick up copies of papers I signed I would have never caught the deception upfront. I was told I would be giving copies of my papers. Of course I only got them because I followed up to get them.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND SOMEONE TO LIVE AT THE MANSIONS DUE TO DECEPTION LACK OF INTERGRITY AND GREED.

Mansions by the Vineyard is governed by the TAA Lease contract, which states in paragraph #14 an outline of costs to a resident if they choose to not occupy the apartment in which they have been appoved and signed a lease contract for. This particular persons occupants chose to not live here, and for this reason the lease holder wanted to break their lease but not be responsible for the signed legal contract. It is unfortunate, and we did attempt in every way to accomodate by offering smaller apartments and shorter lease terms.
