I have recently ran into some rudeness from the office staff. I was trying to speak to Joyce and every time I would talk she would try to talk over me. Finally I started talking over her and she accused me of screaming at her and hung up on me. I called back and she treated me like a was a darn child. Every time I would make a good point she would tell me that I was being rude and that she was going to hang up on me. I have moved all around Texas the last three years for my job and have lived in 5 different apartments. All of the other places I have lived in wanted to work with their residents, Oakmont on the other hand, could give a damn less whether you live there. I work in sales for a Fortune 500 company and know what it takes to keep people happy, It's simple customer service, not treating your residents like they are BUMS and children.

I have lived here for the past year and have no problems with the management. They have been polite and courteous and have always gone above and beyond to get the problem fixed. Maybe the way you approach them should be better. Being nice in the beginning goes a long way in getting a better final result.

I agree... It depends what you were talking about with her, but it seems like you're a right-fighter. Instead of talking over her, maybe you should try being kind to her or actually go IN and see the staff face-to-face instead of using the telephone. Just because you work for a Fortune 500 company does not mean you are as good as the company - try humbling yourself and trying a different approach. If you're going to be nasty, then I wish you would move, anyway - I don't want you to be my neighbor if you're impatient and unkind ;-)
