I've never written anything on a site like this before, but then again - I've also never experienced an apartment quite like Paradise Hills before. Where should I begin: When I moved in, I had to vacumm up enormous amounts of cat hair from my "clean" carpet. For 80 percent of the time that I lived there water, and occasionally raw sewage, drained through the parking lot between my apartment door and my car. (Finally resolved--for a while--after I made countless calls to the code compliance officer in Ft. Worth.) Then, although I moved out in June of 05, I received a water bill for July and August 05. What finally motivated me to write this, though, was this morning I received a call from a collections agency for rent that I hadn't paid. Evidently, in addition to being charged a water bill for July and August, I was also charged rent--EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT LIVE THERE!!! The Management claimed they tried to mail the rental statement to me, but even though I have a forwarding address with the USPS, I never received this mysterious bill - so instead, I had the "pleasure" of dealing with a collections agency before I was able to find out that I needed to contact the apartment management to get the charges removed. Needless to say, I think it is all resolved now, but I wanted to warn those who are considering living here. Yes - they look nice, and they are cheap for the age of the complex, but looks are deceiving. And, unless you want your neighbors to be druggies and unsupervised children, I'd suggest living elsewhere.
