THey sent out notices that each person would have to pay 30 dollars for a remote to the gate which would be fixed shortly, however, we called and asked if we would have to pay that since we were on fort worth housing assistance, they then informed us that we would not. However, approximately 3 weeks later the gate was fixed and when i got there i could not get in so i walked into the apt office and asked how i got in, they told me that if we had paid that i would get a remote, otherwise we would have to pay thirty dollars, i said, "well, i am not sure, but my mother called here and said that yall informed her that we would not have to pay for the remote due to our circumstances, but maybe things changed, and she had paid." i asked her if she would look for our name in the remote registry, she did but it took almost 15 minutes so i had called my mother and she informed me that we had not paid and were told that we did not have to. SO when the lady came back i told her that and she said "then it will be thirty dollars for each individual." I then informed her that i had no money on me as my wallet had been stolen the night before, and asked "can i get the code to the gate" they told me that i would still have to deposit the 30 dollars even for the code. I then told them that it was illegal to do that and that this was "a retarded and illegal operation". They then said that they would get remotes for both my mother and i and instead came back out with an eviction notice. These apartments are terrible, the good maintenance guys have been fired, and the good management as well.
