Well I moved into Paradise Hills in the fall of 06. I was promised a walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub and they didn't deliver. Management seems not to care from the begining and still don't. Anytime I go into the office with a question, I leave more confused than when I went in. The office personnel doesn't seem to know anything, and are unwilling to help. As time progressed they got rid of trash pickup day yet they still charge for it as you will see. The dumpster overflows and stink, and there is only one for the whole complex. I feel sorry for the poor souls whose units look onto the dumpster area. Visitor parking is thoughtfully located right next to said dumpster!!

I won't even get started on parking. Suffice to say, your best bet is to get a unit with a garage. There are abandonned vehicles that take up spaces, and there are many taxi drivers that live here, parking both their personal vehicles and their taxi cabs. Lighting is poor, to say the least, so be careful if you have to park far from your unit.

The waterbill at first was around $17.00 a month for our 2 bedroom and suddenly, without warning, the bill increased to $45 a month. When I asked the office about it, the girl gave me the run-around. Now it's up to $60. I still don't understand how in hell (literally, b/c PH is HELL) 2 people who are at school all day and are conscientious about their water usage can use that much water!! Even if you live by yourself, you will be paying for the water usage of the seven people staying in the apt. next to you!!

During the next few months, the upstairs apt. and the unit next door were rented out. Now every morning, I get to be awakened by an elephant stomping around upstairs and a chimpanzee screaming next door. The paper thin walls do nothing to help the situation. Gun shots seem to mark the hour each night, and being on the ground floor, I have moved my bed to the far side of the room. I hope one of the bullets finds its way into the management office..LOL...

In all seriousness, the area is quite unsafe for you and your family. I come from a suburban neighborhood, and moved out here for school. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was moving into the projects. Maintenance is poor at best. The window in our living room leaks, and after the first rainstorm, our television was ruined by the water seeping onto the floor. Management refused to take any responsibilty, and it took almost 3 months for the maintenance crew to get around to caulking our windows and floorboards (because they ALL leaked).

You get what you pay for with the construction material. The faux-wood floors are a nice alternative to carpeting, but they chip and scratch very easily. We haven't had any problems with this, but any repairs/replacements (blinds, for example)I am told are paid out of your pocket.

In summary,
The pool has NEVER been working, the security gate has NEVER been repaired, the office people NEVER provide answers/give a damn, the trash NEVER gets picked up, and the raw sewage NEVER fails to run after a heavy rain. Take the advice of all 70 posters on here, and find somewhere else!!!
