We were so excited to move in here! After jumping through hoops to be accepted because of a job change and difficulty proving income, and the high price for rent, we thought that this MUST be a great place to live....boy were we wrong.

The largest unsuccessfully completed problem is a leaking roof...that has been pouring water out from around our fireplace and coming in around the dining room window, soaking our carpet, and mildewing the carpet since July 27th. The carpet cleaning company the apartments hired to come in and clean the carpet and get rid of the mildew smell removed the carpet pad 4 weeks ago...and have still not come back to put it in, re-secure the carpet (yes, you can actually pull it up and look underneath at the foundation...which my 14 month old is facinated with) and clean the stains on the carpet that resulted from the leak. It gets better! When they pulled back the carpet in the dining room to remove the carpet pad...they discovered that there wasn't any! The company that installed the new carpet before we moved in put down...another layer of carpet in place of pad! Yeah, quality workmanship here!

We have requested that the front door threshold that is completely loose and allows bugs, dirt, and air into the town home to be replaced and resealed since before we moved into the apartment. We have been repeatedly told that they have ordered the part but are so shorthanded with maintenance men that they haven't been able to get to it. Are you telling me that in this troubled economy there are ANY people capable of filling this role!!''

OH, and fire ants...did I mention the fire ants'' Fire ants, in the apartment, since the day we moved in!! I have sprayed repeatedly with a product I bought at the store and it seems to help, but everytime it rains we get invaded again. My husband, myself and my 14 month old have all been bitten multiple times while playing in the living room or eating dinner at the table. They actually chewed through a suitcase and some packaging to get to some muffin mix!

The office staff appears very nice and helpful, but as soon as there is any kind of problem, you realize that there is not much going on between the employees, or their ears! We have made multiple requests for maintenance repairs, in writing, over the phone, and in person with very little success. There seems to be very little communication between the office manager and the rest of the staff. While the roofers have been out (4 times) the roof still leaks with every hard or sustained rain. We found out today, from the roofers, that they know what the problem is and told the manager last time they came out and submitted a bid, but have not heard back from them on the issue to be able to fix the problem.

The facilities are beautiful and offer lots of nice ammenities, but apparently roof leaks around the fireplace and sky lights are recurring problems and promises of action are not followed through.

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE unless you are a very good handyman and don't mind doing the work yourself, paying for the supplies out of your own pocket, and getting nothing but mindless smiles from the staff...or just buy a house for the same amount (or less) per month and don't flush your money down the toilet renting!
