Clean, quaint, and appealing but potentially a nightmare

I was a resident at these apartments for 9 months, initially I was very happy with this apartment but its appeal quickly diminished! After paying the fee to hold the apartment the one we retained was rented underneath us, I waited 3 weeks at a relative s house with all of my belongings to move in. The carpet was never replaced which wasn t a big deal. Within the first 6 weeks our toilet inexplicably flooded which keep us and our neighbors up until 3am while the contractor cleaned up the mess. The contractor/flood damaged the apartment as well as our furniture and the apartment to a great extent. Before we could settle with our renters insurance we had another flood .. from the toilet AND the upstairs apartment s washer flooded our apartment. While placing the call to the emergency after hours call center, my door handle fell off. Shortly thereafter, they had a series of intrusive contractors come into our apartment for various reasons creating doubt on the safety of my personal property. As an example they had foundation work done in my building I had little notice that people would be in my apartment, I didn t have time to properly secure my firearms and valuables. The foundation work lead to another flood that in which I woke up to large spotted puddles of standing water throughout the apartment (after the first rain) my child slipped and fell thankfully uninjured. During our complaints about this incident the apartment manager was cold, callous, insensitive, and combative. Resultant mold of these floods is still in the apartment apparently in the eyes of the manager I m supposed to believe that a good shot of bleach from a spray bottle will eliminate black mold (my assumption it was black and it was mold I am not an expert). After our 8th month of this endless cycle of abuse, we gave 30 days notice paid the default fee. Now, they say we broke the lease urinated on the carpets, and generally destroyed the place to ensure that they could keep our deposits to pay for THEIR water damaged apartment, and attack our character as clean, honest, and reliable renters for the last 7 years. In short, the place looks great, falls apart and you get to listen to a combative, condescending manager who doesn t care about you, just your rent. As a caveat they did respond to maintenance issues but the responses were patchwork thus ineffective. They couldn t pay me to stay another night at sandstone at bear creek, I d rather rent a week to week room at the motel 6. I will rate this place one star because it has a roof.

Lived here?

I have lived here for 3 years...this is the WORST place to live!!! Water over flow from the sprinklers is constant across the parking lot, making it slick with slime. Maintenance is done by one person spread out through 3 different complexes, who has to use the lowest bidder parts and or used parts because the manager says it's only allotted so much in their budget. The manager spent over 3 grand redoing her office while the main gate is still busted and only works 30% of time not to mention it's covered in duct tape! Her biggest concern is her new BMW and what new shoes and outfits she has! The garbage dumpsters not only over flow on the weekends like some have said, but several times during the week. The lawn crews fill them with debris making it hard for residence to use them. 2 weeks ago a large dog that she knows is let outside without a leash killed another dog on the property, she didn't report it to the police and that person is still living here with the dog being let outside without a leash! I am moving out!

holy crap I only had to deal with the family of opossums and raccoons not large dogs. I wrote the original post. I'm glad I left nothing has changed. FedUpToHereToo come over to park plaza its not so bad here, some people have had problems but predominately its a nice place. They have openings

Seriously? Is this true about the dog? This is heinous! Let's see Rick_B try to smooth THIS one over! There is no excuse whatsoever for this to have happened and WILL be reported! I've lived here over 4 years and won't stay one more minute than I have to!
