I have been in my 800sq ft apt for 4 months now, and overall, I would say I'm happy with Seramont.
Price is fair to high. Relative location is (now) great (just built next door shopping center: LA Fitness, Lowe's, Starbucks, Smoothie King, Firehouse Subs, and Chili's so far; Super Target is across 121. Absolute location is great because it has quick access to Arlington, DFW airport, Grapevine/Southlake/Colleyville, and North Richland Hills areas. **Average Quality of Cars: many newer/high-end cars are here (Lexus/BMW/Porsche/Mercedes). Highway sound is manageable if you have an non-121 facing apt. Pool and its area are nice, but the BBQ's are built-in charcoal'! (come on!) Workout facility is decent. Much cheaper than the next door Mansions apartments!
Neighbors are hit or miss. Community meets at Chili's once a week for happy hour, and has Starbucks and Sat. brunch every month. There were 5 reported breakins, but they were all within one day and they used a bumper key (can happen to anyone) (**always remove (or have a trustworthy neighbor do it if you are on vacation/away) fliers and newspapers from your door!!** they can be a tracking tool for robbers to see who is in the apt complex and who is out of town) They have alarm systems but those people didn't activate I guess.
Some apartments when you drive into them give you a bad feeling; however, Seramont does not.

In the four years since I moved into Seramont I have noticed that the management team has sacrificed quality for quantity, meaning to keep occupancy levels at or near maximun levels they have lowered the requirements to be accepted to reside in Seramont. Some of the people have been allowed to move in over the past couple of years would have never met the strict requirements when I moved in. Seramont has gone from a really nice property to just another apartment complex chasing the all mighty dollar, no matter what.
People with pets are allowed to leave the droppings of their animals laying on the ground where it was deposited, dogs are allowed to run wild, people are allowed to throw trash where ever they please, people are allowed to park in the grass, healhty people are allowed to park in handicap parking spaces, on and on....
Needless to say I will not be making it past my current lease and being here five years.

The alarm systems don't work. First of all, maintenance and staff have the codes or a master code, so they can still enter your apartment anytime. I speak from experience.
Secondly, I set my alarm everyday compulsively, and I have come home twice this week to find my alarm off/deactivated. I guess the alarm systems are as easy to "bump" as the locks on the doors.

Yeah, just use a magnet or a piece of metal to stop the alarm (makes it seem like the door never opened...
