I went to this place yesterday. As I walked in, a tenant(in gym clothes and sweating)came in at the same time. The female agent (blonde woman, 30ish) noticed both of us and immediately responded to the sweaty guy and did not even acknowledge me. She could have least said that someone will be right with you. Not that it matters but I was on my lunch break and dressed professionally and should have appeared to her as a potential "money". Anyway, the two of them disappeard behind a partition...
Another older lady noticed me standing there and did not respond to me. She walked to the other side of the office and began communicating with another male agent whom I did not see but could hear. After listening to their conversation for about 3-5 minutes hoping someone would help me, I started to walk around the petition to ask for help. I stopped midway, turned around and left. I figure that their non-responsiveness to potential renters may be an indication of their complete operation. Hopefully, I am wrong in my assumption because the place seems very nice. Finally, i hate to make this a color issue because I am black and I dont want to play any "race cards". I've worked in Grapevine for the last 5 years and anyone familiar with Grapevine knows that adaptation is necessary. Unfortunately, I felt a hint of racism in my experience because I am from the south. The manner in which I was ignored was very familiar with my experiences in the south.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling your assumption was incorrect. Stoneleigh is a very nice place to live and everyone in that office tries their best to exceed people's expectations. Your impatience and selfishness could attribute to your assumptions, but I highly doubt your accuracy on how you were treated. If you feel you need to give an apartment community a bad review, maybe you should learn how to type properly and use proper English. In addition, using such poor writing skills will prevent other readers from taking your review seriously.

why even bring up race!! Give me a darn break! You people always have to bring up race! Thank God you don't live here!

First of all, what was wrong with her English? Maybe you are not familiar with the language or something. She was not the only person who said management acted snotty and standoff-ish. Just because she felt like it was a matter of race does not mean she made up her experience. Be a black man or woman for one day and then try to input your opinion. Now, to "Madman1"...nice name, using phrases like "you people" is the number one indicator of prejudice, so why don't you just read a book, be a little bit more open-minded and, oh yeah, get a clue while you're at it. Just in case anyone is wondering...I'm a white female, so chew on that for a minute!

She hit it on the nose with her review because I lived there for 5 months under this mangament. Its really a damn shame that people can't take the review for what its worth without being ugly. Yes its a nice place at fair price, but the new managment really bites. I can say that from first hand experience. New mangament took over 7 months into my 14 months lease and all I have to say is I didn't renew.

Well. I live at the community at the present time and can attest that the office is, shall I say, less than anxious to assist people of color. I have lived here for about a year and always pay rent on time and ahead of time in most cases, but when I go to the office I always receive subpar service. I almost have to make someone take my rent money. If the community wasn't as nice and quite as it is, I definitely would be looking to move elsewhere. But, I just chalk their incompetence up to inexperience and lack of premium customer service skills. If race is their premise, then I feel even more sorry for them. Inexperience is one thing and ignorance is another. More and more ------- Americans are reaching intellectual and economic prominence around the Metroplex and around the world and it would be a waste of our time to dwell on the ignorance of leasing agent or some random blogger who is too stupid to realize that words like "you people" is a word of exclusion and prejudice. But black people play the race card. Well, buddy it sounds like you shuffle the deck. As aforementioned, it is an absolute waste of time to address such ignorance and I regret the time that I have already wasted so I must end this shortly. The time spent writing this could have been used helping some person that is in need(whether they are black, white, blue or brown), learning something new for self betterment or making more money(my personal favorite"lol"). I only hope that my response will help someone with the first two which could possibly lead to the third one. In that case, I guess my time wasn't wasted. Peace and Love....
