My husband and I moved in June 2005 to a third floor one bedroom apt. When we signed the lease we were quoted X amount of dollars was are rent price. This was in June. So July comes around and I pay the rent for the amount I was told. So my husband (fiance at the time) go to Connecticut to get married. On July 18th we get a call from the manager that says are rent was submitted in the wrong amount and we are being evicted. This all happened when we were on are honeymoon in Hawaii. For some reason she could not comprehend that we were not home and did not get the letters that they sent to are apt. I continued to explain to her that is was impossible because we were in Connecticut and Hawaii and I can't be two places at once. I told her that I would show her the documentation when I arrived back on the 22nd. Well this was not good enough. She wanted us to come home early to pay the rent even though they made a mistake. I told her that I was not coming home and if she called me again or evicted us I would sue because I had the papers that said X amount of dollars that I paid was the price they told me was my rent. After that she left me alone and when we came back I showed her the papers with the rent price I paid. She appolgized for their mistake. Ever since I have had no problems. We are under new management now so I can't comment on them, but I like living here. I highly recommend the third floor. It is a pain to walk up them, but it is also good exercise. The planes don't bother me either. The walls are very thick and I have never heard my neighbors. The apartments are very energy efficent. I can't believe how low my electric bill is. I like the pools and the work out room. We also run around bear creek a lot which is very nice. Maintance is very good. When I call they come up right away to fix the problem. I have a lot of friends that live in a bear creek apartment and it is a lot worse where they are. I think for the money it is worth living here. I live close to the pool and don't have any problems with noise. There are a lot of couples and families here also. Parking can be a big problem yes. Especaially on Fri and Sat nights. Some residents who have garages park in parking spaces which really tics me off, but I know for a fact they have been spoken too and the situation has been a little bit better. There are residents who double park too and there is a cop who drives around at night and tickets. I live on the more populated side and I am looking to move to the other. I think it is nicer.
