I lived here until recently. I had to break my lease because I was living in the 2 bd 2 bath apt and in Dec of 05 we got a notice saying that fairfield properties was bought out and the new company would be taking over. No where did it say that they were raising the rent and by law they have to tell you about the increase. Well I gave my 2 months notice because they were going to charge me $2,000.00 for my apartment. No way could I afford it by myself.. I thought $950.00 was high. So I tlaked to the manager and she said that since i gavemy notice of 2 months that I would only owe 1,700.00. Well guess what she lied. I got a call from their collection agaency telling me I owe them $10,000.00 for accelerated rent, cleaning fees and all this other stuff. I did the walk thru and everything was the way I found it when I moved in nothing changed. Then they lost all the paperwork when they changed companies so my letter of 2 months is not in there and they put the whole $10,000.00 on my credit. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY SINCE DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I would rather live in a dive then here because it's not really worth it.
