If you're considering moving into these apartments, reconsider. I lived at Stoneleigh for close to three years, when I first moved in I was in a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor. At this point I was working nights and the last thing I wanted to come home to was a bunch of loud gangbangers rapping flows in the garage which backed up to my bedroom where I was attempting to sleep, and the bass in their 1950 buick just about knocked my dishes out of my cabinet. And it sounded like an elephant stampede upstairs!! There must have been at LEAST 6 people living in their 2 bedroom! Then, I transferred to a one bedroom thinking I would get away from the racket, and got moved next to teenagers who were always drunk and high at all hours of the day! Every time I came home my apartment reeked of skunk smelling weed because it came through the vents and they always had friends over that were drunk and falling up the stairs! He was evicted not too long later. And the lady downstairs would blare Elvis all day and night! And she was the least of the problems! And you can forget about sleeping EVER because every 20 minutes it sounds like there's a 747 JET about to land in your living room! And the nascar races go on until 4 in the morning between the Harley Motorcycles and pimped out civics! One night I got home from work and was sitting on my balcony and I saw this truck with an empty bed drive around about 3 times FAST, and the last time it was stopped at the dumpster loading chairs and anything they could find into their truck, we call those dumpster divers! And THEN, when I moved out they charged me for 2 doors that had been damaged, WHICH I PAID FOR, and I ended up knowing the person that moved into my apartment after I moved out, which was about 3 months later, and her doors still hadn't been replaced, which means they POCKETED over $200 for the doors that I paid for!!! To this day they are still not fixed! So I moved into a 3 bedroom, next to the creek, and when I moved in there was urine in the toilets, soap scum in the bath tub, smeared macaroni and cheese on the inside of the cabinets and dust everywhere! We had a whole move in sheet that was full of stuff that was wrong. A few months later, I saw a roach that was bigger and longer than my thumb, and when trying to find it to kill it, I found a broken plate and dog food under the stove, which were NOT mine, I guess from previous tenants, and dog urine (I'm assuming it was from a dog!) underneath the fridge! It was a HUGE puddle! Must have been from a great dane!!! So then I go down to the office to ask if they can please come spray for bugs and they laughed and me and told me it was normal because we lived by the creek and informed me of how they have silverfish in their clothes!!!! I said " and y'all are okay with this'''''" This was a saturday morning, and the maintenance man never came to find the killer roach, and the next monday there was a lease violation on the door for unauthorized occupants, and I went told them the only unauthorized occupants that were in my apartment were the freaking roaches!!! They were so big they should have been paying rent, or at least a pet deposit if they were going to be staying there! So I put my name on the list to be sprayed which wasn't until Wednesday then they never came! Then we went to the pool (which was a rare occurence because of the drunk teenagers that always inhabited it, that didn't even live there) so anyway my friend cut her foot on a broken beer bottle in the bottom of the pool because everyone leaves them around and no one ever picks them up! Which you can forget about using the hot tub as well because it hasn't worked for at least a year! Then one time we got a lease violation for being at the pool after ten, BUT the only time the pool isn't occupied entirely by non-residents is after it closes! I wanted to use the pool that I paid for, and couldn't!!! On a completely different day at about 9 am on the weekend, the police randomly show up to my door saying someone called because they heard small children screaming...none of us even had kids!!! Then our neighbor upstairs, although she was very friendly in person, would have sex very loudly until 5 in the morning with different men all the time. And one time she kicked one of her boyfriends out (who we'd never met) and knocked on our door about 11 at night asking if he could stay there because she kicked him out and he flew here from Galveston and didn't have anywhere to go! Oh you can hear your neighbors going to the bathroom and taking showers because the walls are so thin! And the lady above us had so many kids and it constantly sounded like she was dropping bowling balls! Still to this day we do not know what it was! Oh and one time there was a horrible storm and our window got broken and it took them 2 weeks to come and fix it, and they didn't even clean up the glass! Not to mention, they charged me for it! AND, every time the sky even THINKS about storming, your electricity will go out! And take forever to come back on! One night about 1 am I heard a lot of commotion going on which sounded like it was coming from my garage, so we went downstairs to check it out and I opened my garage door to find a police officer and a 12 person line-up sitting in my driveway, then the police officer asked me if I knew any of these people!!! Then told ME to go back inside! While they're sitting in MY driveway! And while I was out of town for Thanksgiving, my apartment got broken into and my brand new macbook got stolen, along with my playstation 3 and digital camera! Oh and about $1,200 worth of clothes! After this, I was to my last straw and it was time to move. So I paid the next two months rent (for my 60 day notice) and then TWO WEEKS after I moved out I got a call from COLLECTIONS saying that the apartments had reported me for not paying them $1,600 in move-out fees! They charged me for a haul-off fee (which there was not a SINGLE thing left in that apartment) and for deep cleaning which I cleaned, and for the ENTIRE carpet to be replaced, which was damaged when I moved in. My advice to you is to NEVER EVER EVER move into these apartments because it is the worst experience I have ever had!
