I ALMOST LIVED HERE!!! THANK GOD I DIDN'T!! My boyfriend and I put down a $300 deposit on a townhome there before we were able to see it. This was not smart on our part however we trusted them. They were very nice in the office, they showed us a beautiful model. We also thought the grounds were beautiful. 3 days after we put the deposit down we came back to be shown a townhome like the one we were going to get, since we wouldn't be able to see our actual one for a few more days because the people weren't done moving out. This home was in horrible condition. There was wood rot at the bottom of the doors, the counters were so slanted if you put a glass on them it would have slid right off, the appliances were in horrible condition. After this I spoke with the manager and told her how appalled I was and that I hoped that when I saw my place later that week it would be in better shape than the one we saw. At this point she said that she was not going to show me the unit until the day we signed the lease and that she would have anything we wanted fixed. I told her that this was unacceptable and if we couldn't see our unit this week like we were originally told I did not want the apartment. She told me that she would speak to her manger and to call back in a couple of days. The reason for this is (I realize now) is that on that day I could have backed out and still received my deposit back instead I went down there a couple of days later and she said they still weren't prepared to show me the apartment. So I said well we will go somewhere else and could we please have our $300 deposit back. Nope.... because we missed the 72 hour deadline. Of course I was upset, I called the owner and she had a horrible attitude and basically said "you snooze you lose!!". We make decent money but losing $300 on an apartment we never even rented hurt us. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT RENTING HERE!!!!!!!!!! Go down the street to Village Green apartments. They are much nicer and have better management.
