Word to the wise: Don't get pregnant with twins in this place.

We had a much overpriced 1 bedroom apartment ($640) here and never, I mean never paid the rent late. As it happened, my wife got pregnant with twins during our stay, but we were very dependent on her income.

As we approached the last month of our lease, her high risk pregnancy landed her in the hospital on bed rest for 6 weeks (Doctor's orders of course). Well I knew we would be screwed on rent because she couldn't work.

I wrote the manager and explained that we had to leave one month early, but I would pay the final month's rent a little late. I told her that they could go ahead and lease the apartment to someone else and basically collect double rent for part of that month.

Well, don't ever try to be honest with anybody, because within a week, I got a bill from these A-holes asking for nearly $2000. I promptly wrote back and said they could kiss my arse for the 2 grand, and they can forget about the last month's rent as punishment for being so callous.

So every year I get some stupid letter threatening to screw up my credit and keep me from ever renting again. "This type of transgression won't just go away after 7 years." Well keep 'em comin' I say, because I was able to rent less than a year later, and I still have $2000 that these vultures will never see.

Also, we were told several times that garages were forthcoming. Anybody have a garage yet' Oh yeah, the electric bill was incredibly high: like $230 a month for less than 700 square feet! Are you kidding me' Our 3 bedroom house is less than that. At least some idiot forgot to diconnect the cable before we moved in ;)

Good luck parking anywhere near your place if you work all day.

Maybe they have changed since then, but they still won't get my money.

PS - watch out for termites - we saw them poking their little heads out of the walls all the time.
