We lived on the bottom floor and the roof was bad in this building and it leaked water all in and down the walls. Mold was growing all over our apartment and the apartment above us and all they ever did was come by and put bleech on the mold to kill it and then caulk the big wholes in the walls cause by the mold and water. The lady above us had a miscarrage and a histerectamy (sorry I can't spell); she was sick all the time and was never sick before moving in there. She had a son that was 4 years old and had no problems with her female area before moving in there. I had 2 miscarrages and I was sick the whole year while there, so sick I lost my job and could barely get out of bed some days. They refused to let us out of our lease so that we could move until the lease was up, they did offer to move us into a new unit the last month and a half of our lease, but we just wanted out. We weren't trying to sue them for money or anything, we just wanted to move so I could get better, but they refused to let us leave. They wanted like $2,000 in reletting fees for us to move out, which we couldn't afford. The water was so bad that one 2 occasions our kitchen ceiling was flooded with water so bad that even the light was completely filled with water. The bad thing is, I know they did nothing about the roof or the mold or anything. They painted and put new people in our apartment and the apartment upstairs. So know new people are getting sick and they are stuck in a year lease in the dump. The people in the office were always nice unless you had a problem, then they were very moody. Oh yeah and one of our neighbors had two huge huskys and they would walk them right in front of our apartment so you had to dodge huge piles of pooh, but they did do something about that. They got rid of the guy because his dogs were larger then the apartment complex allowed, but they never cleaned up any of the pooh.
