My experiences as a current renter at Village Green Apartments

Hello Shannon I currently live in Village Green Apartments (your apartment complex). I have lived here for almost 4 years and would like to defend Shannon she is a really good person and will try to help when possible. I would also like to tell my reasons for planning on moving when my lease comes up in February. As I stated above, I have lived in Village Green for around 4 years and have rented a washer and drier since moving here at a rate of $35 a month that?s around $1700.00 for my total time here. You have to use a stackable washer and drier here because that?s all that fits and it has to be 120 volts, Shannon can testify to this. Now comes the part that ticks me off. I am currently working at a place that will allow me to buy a washer and drier at a discount, however all driers today run off 240 volts. Last week I asked the apartments if they could drop a 240 volts in my apartment so I can get my own washer and drier and start saving some money that I am throwing away renting ones from the complex. I was told they could because they are doing it to some of the vacant apartments, however they will have to charge me to have it done. So on top of the money I have dropped on the washer and drier rental over the years, and not going into how much I have spent on rent here over the years, This is all the thanks I get! So now I am looking for another place that is a little more updated. They are changing the siding on the apartment, so I do give them a thumbs up for that, however mechanical problems should deserve attention first. For example the boiler problems, That?s another thing this place uses a boiler system to heat the water for the complex and I will never rent at a apartment complex that uses this method, I have found that when the boiler goes down it goes down everywhere in the complex. In the past I have been caught in the middle of the shower when the hot water was cut off. Shannon also knows about this and how pissed I was when it happened; she now calls me when they are about to turn the hot water off. That?s an example of her good character to help out whenever possible. However I would like to see them spend the money on fixing mechanical problems first then work on the looks of the place. After all someone wouldn?t tow a car to a paint shop and have a car painted then tow it home and then fix the engine it just would not make sense, most would drive the car. Sorry Shannon to rain on your parade I had to bring this up though when I seen your comments on Village Green.
