THE WORST!!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
Let me start out with I will try and write as objectively as possible... These are without a doubt the worst apartments ever! I didn't think I would write anything about the apartments anywhere because I moved out and I was happy to be done. But it has been more than 2 months and I still have yet to get my deposit back, despite the fact that it clearly states in my lease that I will get it back within 30 days.
Our experience with the apartments were the worst the entire time we lived there.
I moved in and noticed my bathroom was literally covered in human hair, when I called the apartment they sent someone out to paint over the hair. I didn't really think that was at all sanitary.
11 of the 12 months we lived there the gate didn't work despite being told constantly that it would soon be working. At one point a letter was passed out saying that the gate would be fixed at the end of the month and to come get a gate key. The gate wasn't fixed until 6 months later.
6 times while we lived there the fire alarm on our building went off. the first time was at 4 in the morning in the freezing cold of january. We were told that apartment kids were pulling the alarms and that there was nothing wrong with them, but they continued to go off at all hours of day and night. 2 times in the pouring rain.
There was always someone parked in the fire lane in front of our building. The parking spot sat in front of the walkway so whenever someone was parked there you had to walk through the mud to get to your apartment, it was always mud because of the sprinklers in the apartment and even though we told the complex this was a problem it never really got fixed.
The worst part about the complex were the people in the office. Never once did I get a call back after calling about something. I always had to call atleast 3 times. Same thing when I went in to complain about things, never once even after I sat there and watched them fill out a report, did anything get fixed after telling them only once. There were times when I wanted to get a hold of the manager of the apartment in hopes that she would be able to help. If I called and asked for the manager she was never in. One time I called from my apartment and then walked down to the office and saw her car parked in front. I walked in and asked for the manager and was told she was not in. After complaining about the fact that I had called and left my name and number and never recieved a call back, the manager walked out of her office and said simply "I'm here."
Now I'm gone and I wish I was done. I called 2 weeks ago about my deposit and was told the policy was 30 - 60 days but that if I left my name and number someone would look into and get right back with me. I called 3 hours later and was told noone would be able to help me, so I asked that my name and number be left for the manager and that she give me a call the next day. I never recieved a call. So I called today and tried to get the name and number of the owner, shockingly no one had it. I was again asked to leave my name and number and assured that the manager had just gone to the bank and would be right back and she could then give me the name and number of the owner. Just before they closed I called back and surprise of all surprises the manager had an emergency and never came back. The girl who answered the phone said she was a temp and would be unable to help in any capacity, but that there were 2 other people that worked there that were busy if I wanted to hold. After holding forever I called back and they had hooked up the fax machine to the office phone so I would get nothing but fax sounds in my reciever. When I hung up and called back the temp girl laughed at me and said "you must really want your money."
