Village On Post Oak

The apartment had many deviations from the model that I viewed. The appliance in the kitchen were old, beatup and dingy. The cabinet draws were nasty, one even had old condiments in it. The paint on the wall was a different color. The fireplace was different. The vent in the bathroom was old, dirty, with pink on it. I was terribly dissapointed as soon as I stepped into my new apartment. I am ready to move and I just moved in. I learned a valuable lesson which is to sign a month to month lease until you actually see the apartment they will give you because my apartment had many deviations from model. 7 months later I am more disappointed than when I first walked in. I am paying a phone bill for a phone that is not working because the phone jacks in my apt need replacing, my lights and hot water work whenever they please and maintenance is sorry. The parking lot looks very trashy and maintenance is not prompt. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone, too bad I didnt find out about this website untill it was too late because now I am stuck for another 7 months and I'm dreading every moment. If I had the money it would be worth it too me to get away from vopo, its that bad. I'm working to see how I can get away. Once when I first moved in I payed my rent online on the 30th of October and I received an eviction notice on the 4th for non payment because they hadnt checked their email, I should have left then. And for the record as a current resident I would say that 90% of the problems listed below are true and it is not just angry tenants, it is tenants who wish somebody had warned them and dont want you to make the same mistake. I will definetly use this website next time I decide on an apartment because the comments appear to be very relevant and reliable.

The management is trying very hard to make this a nice community. The apartments are over 20 years old. You have not idea what they were like a few months ago. You couldn't walk around at night.

A few months ago they were ran by a caring staff. You may mean a year or two ago. The people I dealt with previously are nothing like those I encounter now that party with residents and I see loading friends trucks up with items from apartments and the maintenance supply room. Good luck living here.

to youarehere: do you actually live here? How can you say there has been any improvement in the last few months? It has been worse than ever since Pace took over a few months ago. Now, I would not even walk around during the day, much less at night. I don't even drive through without making sure my doors are locked. Everytime I see management driving around with prospective tenants I just want to warn them to run away as fast as they can. |

I feel exactly the same way, I was looking at someone moving below me and wished I could have warned them so they would not make the same mistake I did. This apartment taught me a lesson the hard way, from now on I will not be signing at lease until I get to see my actual apartment and live in it for at least a month. I counting down the months til I move.

as a previous manager with Simons Real Estate (previous mgmt company prior to capstone)I agree that the property has gone downhill. There is no presence of police protection, and the security people party with the residents. It's regretful that the owner sold the property, or the caring Simons staff would still be taking care all of you.

I miss yall! Pace Has driven me to almost take a lawsuit to them. Capstone had some maintenance issues. But they were driving the value of the place with 2 tone paint, Berber carpeting, wood flooring..etc, that would of really made the place outstanding. Now, Pace doesn't offer any of these amenities, no will they ever. Pace Really doesn't care should be their slogan.
The one thing that insults me is you see the ads in DFW people listing all these things like a clubroom and a exercise room. This is FALSE advertising because none of these items are up and running. They have the same broken down equipment that was left over from capstone. So include a membership to a local gym if you were looking forward to that.
I guess I could say okay so-so thing- they have been starting to have a courtesy officer drive around ever now and then. He written citations to people swimming in the pool who are not part of the community.
At least the pool is still in working shape. The property was setup to be really nice, now its just heading to the ghetto, and its due to a company or owner who won't invest. I hope he proud of his investment!

Ha! Pool has been open all summer. Still isn't open as of this date. Their excuse is something about the city of Euless not liking the font on their signs. Yeah...I believe that one.
