I have to say you get a lot of space for the amount of rent you pay. However, considering the quality of the space it really isn't worth it.
Apartments are reasonably clean, but maintenance is poor and and tell that they chose to cover up problems with paint and carpeting rather than fix them. I suspect there is a serious mold problem that keeps getting covered up with new paint.

Bugs is a serious problem. Everything from sugar ants to large roaches and fireants.

If you live downstairs better pray your neighbors upstairs are of slight build, because the buildings are in such poor shape that if your upstairs neighbors just walk around up there the floors creak so much it will wake you up.

Expect high utility bills, these apartments are old, leaky and inefficcient. Heater broke twice in weeks as it started getting cold. However the maintenance people came out very quickly and took care of it. They did however not clean up the mess they made very well (including the bugs that fell out).

Managments is reasonably helpful but somewhat heartless, though I assume you may have to be with the domographics of the tennants.

This is a very old apartment comunity, badly in need of renovation. For being what it is it isn't horrible, but I have a feeling that many of the super-ultra-positive "best place to live ever" reviews are not real, take them with a grain of salt, they are not realistic.
