I've lived in several different apartments in this community, and my overall experience has not been pleasant.

The maintenance department's quality of work is poor at best, and always slow. For example: My current apartment has blinds that were too large for the window, so they were cut down to fit. There are visible patches in the walls and I've had mildew problems. Once my garbage disposal broke and it took 2 weeks to have it repaired, and by the time it was fixed, there were maggots coming out of my sink. I was so beyond disgusted. There is a bug problem as well (as in roaches and ants).

In regards to management/leasing coordinators, I have this to say: They are uncaring and only interested in your money. The only person there that has been professional to me in my time dealing with the office staff was Christy in Accounting.

As for the neighbors, I've had unfortunate luck in that department as well. I've lived around everyone from obvious drug dealers, to meth addicts, to a lady who let trash build up so much in her apartment I could smell it in mine. I've witnessed drug overdoses, burglaries, and many fights.

The walls are so thin, that I can smell my current neighbor's cigarette smoke, no matter what I do. Unfortunately, I can also hear her having sex. I currently live close to the bar/convenience store, and that's a nightmare as well. I hear lots of loud music and bar fights, as well as people hot-rodding down the road.

Sure the rent is cheap, but is it worth it' To me it isn't anymore. I'm moving at the end of the month and couldn't be happier to be leaving.
