When we first moved in there was a small leak (which eventually turned into a large one) right by the stairs and fireplace. They came out and "fixed it". But all they really did was take out the old drywall and replaced it with new drywall. When they had the drywall out of the way, and you could see the beam inside the wall. The beam was rotted, so the leak has been there for some time. My kid met the family that used to live here, and they said they moved because the leak could not be fixed. After about six or seven months of constant complaining they repaired the leak the best that they could. It still leaks every now and then, but it doesn't leak like it used to. Then there's the air conditioning...it's on pretty much all the time. And the apartment isn't that cool, it's more on the luke warm side. Oh, and then there was the leak that we had reported when we first moved in. It wasn't actually leaking until about a month ago when we had our first big storm of the year. Lots of rain and wind. We reported that there was a huge water stain in the large bedroom downstairs, but since it wasn't actually leaking they didn't bother to check on it. Well, when that storm came through it was like it was raining inside. I reported that leak to the Apartment Manager. She said she wants to make this right and blah, blah, blah. It was close to the end of the day, so she was more interested in going to her nice HOUSE, while I'm stuck in this dilapidated, leaky apartment. About 3 or 4 days went by and I started getting contractors knocking at my door wanting to look at the leak. That was about all they did. I work at night and sleep during the day, so I'm here all day long. And I have yet to hear anybody working on our roof. Which I found out by eavesdropping on one of the contractors conversations, that our roof is made out of some kind of foam! He said there was no real fix except to of course re-roof the roof, yeah right.
I almost forgot another problem we had when we moved in, COCKROACHES, EVERYWHERE!!! When we moved in there were roaches everywhere in the apartment. I of course reported it but no one came. So I had some spray and I sprayed the entire apartment. For the most part I haven't seen a roach in quite awhile. Too bad I'm not a roofer.
So I sit here in my leaky apartment with my family, waiting until October when our lease is finally over, to move to a much nicer apartment with better amenities and the apartments don't look like their falling apart. Good Luck if you ever end up getting stuck with this apartment.

while I have seen the roaches,office staff appear to be responsive. Most of the maintenance people are quite good and the little lady who takes care of the laundry facilities is fantastic!I was hesitant in the beginning to make use of the machines untill I saw what a great job she does ,keeping premises so clean & neat.And she is so helpful,I actually
look forward to laundry day when Kat's around.So far, so good...

It would be nice if you would watch your kids and have them quit vandalizing the apartments we call home. Also it helps if you clean your pigsty and you wouldn't have roaches.

Anonymous, if you have a problem with my kids come and see me. I said we had roaches when we moved in, not now. Do you work for Westdale Hills or something? Why are you taking their side? This is my experience, an opinion, not accusations!!! Learn how to read before you start making accusations. And if you think I live in pigsty, why don't you come over and make that complaint to me in person... And by the way you will have to deal with us for another 8 months!!!
