Not asking for perfection just more value for what I pay in rent

I have lived at Wood Hollow for about a year and 3 months. Luckily my lease is up very soon and will be leaving pronto. The carpets are horrible, sure they "clean" them before you move in but as you live there somewhow the stains magically show up. There is an area in the middle of my living area that looks as if someone spilled an ash tray, dropped thier lit cigarettes, and let a candle drip on the floor. I do not smoke. The dishwasher doesnt work well and could use a replacement. The countertop in both the kitchen and bath are in need of repair, replacement something as they are warped and knicked! The bottom of the cabinet under the sink needs to be replaced as is has severe water damage so much so I cannot use it. I asked them to repair a draw and replace the bottom of it as it was water damaged. Well I could have done better if I had done it myself. First it took them 2 weeks to get it back to me and all they did was simply cut a board to fit over the bottom of the old drawer bottom and painted it brown looks awful and is very heavy now. I dont have a pet but they charge you $300 and dont even give you half of it back when you leave. As for crime there have been more breakins to cars than I can count on two hands. Summer is rolling around again and they just sent out flyers stating that it was burglar season again and gave the precinct no. and phone no. of the police station and suggested the Dallas Take Hide and Lock prevention method. I have been verbally assaulted one evening by someone driving around the parking lot as I walked from where I parked my car. VERY SCARY!! Also I to have felt that people where entering my apartment without my knowledge while I was at work. Things were not in the same place. I now do not leave any financial items out just in case. Another thing is that if you have a washer and dryer you have to go outside to patio to the storage closet to do your laundry and they don?t even provide shelving for storage when you have a W/D. It just seems logical to me to have shelving in an area that is suppose to serve as both storage and a laundry area. If you want to leave the sliding doors open during a cool spring day you better get use to the roaring sound of airplanes over head. It does seem they have a high turn over rate in renters too but what apartment doesn?t...
The good things I can say are: Staff is nice and I will say maintenance is responsive for the most part. Pool is nice as well. But living in the section I do I have to go to the other side of the complex to get my mail. Oh and I have nice view of the trees on my balcony. Neighbors are nice and quiet.
All in all I really just feel like Im paying for the view. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
