Beware...New Management and BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
Under the Old management Acacia Equities We never had a problem with the complex or the staff and had a pleasant stay. HOWEVER when management changed hands original friendly staff was replaced with not so friendly staff..and actually quite rude at times. Apparently one hand doesnt talk to the other and old office staff didnt record a PAID pet deposit on our lease. We gave our 30 day notice and everything we thought was good to go and fine. 9 months later go to apply for a new apartment complex and find out that Woodhollow has put over $600 on credit report of unpaid fees.
$300 for unpaid pet deposit (which was paid under old management)
5 days rent fees (they say we turned in our keys 5 days late when in fact we HIRED movers on the 20th of January and can prove when we moved out and keys were returned via envelope in night drop box that following weekend way before the date due.
They charged us a fee for them having to resurface the tub because the AC to the complex drained INTO the tub. Constant water leaking does cause a water stain and they are hold us responsible for the way the complex was designed.
$50 to remove dish satellite
and carpet cleaning fees
We dont dispute the dish fee and the carpet BUT in reality we should owe nothing cause we never got our REFUNDABLE part of our pet deposit back..
They told us we have to contact the OLD management to clear up pet deposit and contact the Collection agency that now has the account when we NEVER recieved notice that we even owed fees.
BAD BUSINESS....We now face not being able to even rent because of these people and there BOGUS charges.
