I have to say when I first moved I loved my apartment. But a few months into my lease my apartment was broken into. Someone pushed in a back window, frame and all, crawled through and stole some stuff. I filed a police report and went to the office staff. I didn't feel safe living there any more, but the staff told me point blank, "that's not our problem". I could pay something like $900 to get out of my lease, but then I would have to continue to pay rent until the apartment was rented. I'm not sure how that is breaking a lease, if I still have to pay. And what incentive did they have to rent my apartment if I was still paying rent' Overall I couldn't believe that I was being treated this way, and felt victimized twice instead of just once. Believe me, next time I will know better, and pick my apartment much more carefully.

I understand that you are upset, but everyone knows that apartments are not repsonsible for your stuff.

WTF...obviously this person who responded to this blog before me works int he office, i know it has to suck when you get your stuff jacked, but maybe it was all planned from someone that works there, if you read another blog further down that says wood chase is pathetic you'll see that they mention the office and maintinance enters your apt anytime they want so they probably came in to fix something and noticed you had good stuff so they wathced your place for a good enough time to know the times you wouldnt be home so that when the go in for the kill, think about it who the hell robs an apartment its impossible unless you really know peoples schedule and only an employee could do that....think about it!!
